Yeah I don't understand the Milton hate. So he overthrew basically all of his deep balls.... big deal. He'll be here 2 more years and has all the physical tools to be a great QB for us. 2 years is a lot of time... the idea that he is who he is and can't improve at this point in his career is ridiculous. He's clearly not our best option right now but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up being very good for us in a couple years.Milton is a QB. Stop with the insults.

That's ludacris. Finding a good QB is priority #1. As a new HC, you do everything you possibly can to find a guy you can win with. Heupel had nothing to lose by bringing in Milton. He took a chance on a physical freak. It hasn't worked out yet. In hindsight, it's easy to say Hooker should have been named QB1 fall camp. But to say we should never have even given Milton a roster spot is insane. No one hates Milton, but Heupel should have never brought him on campus in the first place, and definitely shouldn't have made him QB1 to beat in fall camp.
He's had the same accuracy issues since high school, and it was pure hubris on Heupel's part to think that he could fix in a few weeks, what other coaches couldn't fix in multiple college seasons.

…and a few who watched the practices preseason stated Milton did appear to be our best Qb.That's ludacris. Finding a good QB is priority #1. Agreed. Would have been coaching malpractice not to have rolled the dice on Milton given his measurables. Any armchair assertion to the contrary is just BS.
"Coach worship"? Smh. This attempt to discredit my opinion by giving me an unfounded label is lame, but not surprising.
Pruitt is still improving as a HC. We’ve known all along that he’d have a learning curve. Hiring the best men for the job instead of his friends was a costly lesson to learn, but it appears he’s learned it. This is good.
You are one of the most irrational people on this message board. What part of what I said about Pruitt was “coach worship”? I don’t need to offer an argument for why it was a good idea to take Milton. We had nothing to lose. It’s common sense. You've literally offered zero refutation of Heupel making a bad call than "no he didn't".
You seem to have a pattern for trying to excuse bad coaching decisions:
So yeah, the label is hardly unfounded.

Milton has done nothing after 4 seasons at two D1 stops to even remotely suggest that he is capable of performing at this level on a semi consistent basis. As those on here who are routinely triggered by the constant Kiffin criticism say, just stop talking about it.Sure thing man. I get it but he is still a QB. What happens if next year he beats out Hooker and balls out in this offense? Oh wait, that’s impossible right? Because fans like you have said so.
It's sad that you have nothing better to do with your life than dig up old posts to justify your nonsense. You went all the way back to January to find a post where I said Jeremy Pruitt was learning on the job and messed up by hiring his friends; and you're trying to use THAT as evidence that I worship coaches. Can you really not see how irrational that is? It would be much easier for you to just apologize for mislabeling me, and it would be easier for me to just move on with my day, but you seem to have a real problem dude. This is a trend for you. I understand this is a message board which shouldn't be taken too seriously, but it seems like I see you making outlandish statements and getting involved in little spats like this every day. Stop being so rude to people. Stop assuming you're right about everything. And stop trying to make people look stupid to justify your nonsense. And if any of your message board behavior carries over to your personal life, get some counseling before you damage valuable relationships beyond repair. You were still making excuses for Pruitt 6 days before he was terminated for being so bad at cheating that we had to turn ourselves into the NCAA. He was a terrible HC, but you felt the need to defend him because he was wearing orange; that's coach worship. I'm sorry that you are unable to objectively evaluate the HC at UT, just because they wear orange, but some of us don't have that problem, and don't feel compelled to try to defend a bad decision.
Bringing Milton on board has cost us two QBs from the roster, and a win against a beatable Pitt. It was demonstrably a bad decision, especially so with Hooker on the bench. You've literally made zero counterargument other than "Heupel might fix him".
Feel free to return to your undefended argument once you regain your composure. It's sad that you have nothing better to do with your life than dig up old posts to justify your nonsense.
