I would be completely shocked if money were an issue at all with the elder Kiffin. Some people do reach a point in life where there are more imporant things than money.
Monty made 1.5 million in 2005. I don't see him walking away from that to be an DC in college for ~400k. Cutcliffe made 340k his last season as OC at UT.
