Is Mark Richt available?

Actually won 13 in his second season, and had another 12 win season and an 11. But I know facts are hard.
Yeah, I didn't research before my post. Either way, UGA is thrilled not to have him anymore. Got a real coach and are competing for championships ever since.

I don't want Mark Richt, and luckily I never have to worry about having him. We have Pruitt for another year whether you like it or not.

Very unrealistic to think ANY coaching change is happening this year even if we get 1 win. It just isn't happening. Next year is his judgement year.

Whether we end up with him or not doesn’t make your opinion on the matter any less uninformed.

I believe it was Richt that built GA up to the team that is now competing for championships. Is that not what we need here is someone who can build a team ? Kirby didn't build that team he is just playing with the pieces that were given him. To his credit he has kept it going.

I am now informed after doing the same quick wiki search as you. I still stand behind my feelings on him. He is better than Pruitt but still not worth pursuing. He couldn't even bring his alma mater back at Miami before giving up on them.

He didn't build UGA... He got 8 wins his first year at UGA. They were in a MUCH better situation than we are.

Yeah UGA was THRILLED with Kirby after the SECCG last year. Also whether or not UGA is glad to be rid of Richt has nothing to do with whether or not he would be a SIGNIFICANT improvement over what we currently have. Which is the point right?

I didn't say GA was in as bad a situation as UT when he got there. What I did say was he improved them. That is what is missing at UT is improvement from a coach.

At this point anyone would be a leap over Pruitt. Not going to firing him though unless he sucks again next year.
No doubt he will be here next year and probably longer. This year Pruitt is going to own the worst single season win/loss record in UT history. The following year he will double the win total and there will be a group of people clamoring to keep him claiming we are improving.

And yet he kept it going, the same compliment you paid Smart

We should hire someone like Mark Richt. I don’t think Kansas and NC are thinking Miles and Brown are long term or going to win them championships, but they are proven head coaches at the highest levels that generally do things the right way. They are low risk stepping stones to get to a longer term solution. That’s what we need. Also, Mark Richt might have more wins in Neyland than Pruitt. Definitely more SEC wins.

Richt couldn't cut it at Miami...That place is a recruiting machine and he failed horribly and resigned...And you really want him at UT?...Might as well since we are known for being the dumpster dive for coaches champion.
