Is JG the best QB in the SEC East?

I'd say without question he's the toughest, the light came on and the game slowed down for him yesterday. He's getting there to where he's becoming one of the best in the east, another year and he'll be in the conversation

JG has come a long way in decision making. Yesterday was the best I've seen him play. He would be putting up big points every game if we had a great OL.

He played great yesterday and has the ability to be very good! I'm happy for anyone that overcomes hardship and tough times through hard work!

But, to say he's the best in the East. Come on.........OP must have written The Iliad because he's a huge Homer. :p Lock, Fromm, and I will throw Shurmur in as better QB's...right now. Maybe not by the end of the year.

The toughest for sure. Guy took another beating yesterday. Looked like stretch Armstrong a few times out there. He's money with the deep ball.

Blue font bro. I was hoping using C instead of K was going to catch McDads eye.

I've been behind JG from the beginning. Its good to see him getting better and I hope he tears it up from here on out. Not only because its good for us.

I know I sometimes get so caught up with my own emotions I don't think about how hard its been on the guys as a team and individuals. I know there aren't many, but I've seen a few posters downplaying the win yesterday, but that win was desperately needed. It was a huge win.

Anyone who thinks its not is either A, not a fan. Or B, just plum stupid.

Love JG but Lock is the best. Probably Fromm second (Fields looks pretty good too) . I'd give Franks the edge at 3 just because how each looked during the Gators / Vols matchup.

But, boy, if there is a tougher son of a gun playing QB I'd like to see it. Dude has took a beating but he gets back up and keeps giving. Proud he's our guy.

Agree

No way to down play that win. It was huge for everyone remotely involved with UT athletics. I understand not expecting to win out, but that game deserved some real excitement for everyone.

Lock just went three weeks without a td pass, he isnt as great as the media hyped him.

If you give him time he’s pretty good. The issue he’s always had is a non blocking o line. I really believe he has all the makings to be a number 1 guy. Just needs o line to block. We see what he can do when they block.

I know there are only a very few...that have posted it, but you know the guys playing it down, saying things like , "I hope that wasn't his signature win" and "lol, act like we've won a game before" oh and "they were a team in disarray, it was not a huge win". Etc.

My Ohio St friend watched it with me and he said you guys looked better than they looked bad. And see, not that his opinion is any more important than anyone else's, but it is because he's not a TN fan. Other non fans like him are saying decent to good things about Tennessee today, instead of laughing at us.

No, we didn't win the East, Beat Bama or Clemson, but that one win wiped away a huge amount of negativity and gave many of us some solid evidence of progress. As well as what we've already discussed.

Kiss my ass it wasn't huge.

Absolutely. My friend who is a Nebraska fan said he was surprised with how we looked (his wife is an Auburn fan).

We haven’t won the East or beat Bama, YET. Next week, we’ll take a huge step towards both when JG lights up Bama and hangs about 40 pts in them.

I can’t believe I’m going to do this, but I’ll go there.

What evidence is there to suggest JG is better than Franks?

I don't really care if he is or not.

That said, I would be interested in @KBVol response.

I wouldn’t or we’d be saying Wuerfful is the GOAT over Peyton.

On the play where he got hit and bent backwards, I was like thats it, but he stayed in, I dont see how.
Yeah when I saw him go down on that play I was thinking broken leg, but he bounced right back up. That is one tough hombre.
