I think Herbstreit is incredibly good at breaking down plays and showing what's going on in the replay. He seems to always catch fouls during the actual play. It amazes me really. Whoever is in second place as a color guy is really really far back there.
I hate listening to all announcers. When the game was about to start, he was saying, in a monotone low voice, here comes ASU onto the field. Then he started almost screaming and here comes Texas. I told my wife, I gotta mute this game because the announcers are all gonna pull for Texas. It's really obvious with pretty much every game being televised by ESPNThere are other candidates, but this guy....
You don't need to say it. I turned down the volume.

Kirk’s not terrible at calling games. He’s a company man and has carried water for ESPN now for three decades for better or worse. He’s seen the sport and the business around college football grow exponentially during his time at ESPN. I don’t agree with all his takes, but he is knowledgeable about the game of football. He gets in trouble when he’s getting in Twitter fights with fans.Herbstreit is good. He's a little boring personality-wise. He's doing NFL and college which means he is doing so much work. I believe he's become more skilled with this experience, but I also feel like he doesn't have adequate prep time. I feel like he knows the players less now.
He is amazing at this and if only he could stick to this and say about half as much as he does, he would be my favorite analyst. As it is, I have to turn the sound off to enjoy the game.I think Herbstreit is incredibly good at breaking down plays and showing what's going on in the replay. Yep, he didn't hide who he was for, Texas scored their 1st TD and he shouted to top of his lungs "Hookem Horns"I hate listening to all announcers. Aaron Murray joining the competition from the Duke Mayo Bowl (VT-UMN):
I’m not here to criticize Josh Heupel, but his QBs at Tennessee just stand there and take the snap. No way to establish any rhythm just standing flat footed in the shot gun.
I could do without former QBs from UGA and UA as announcers.
