Is it just me, or is Joe Tessitore the most dramatic, fake, loud, irritating, cringe announcer at ESPN?

EVERY play is the most important, dramatic play in CFB history to this guy.

His WWE announcing has bled into what he offers for CFB. There isn’t many things more irritating than fake excitement.

He doesn't want to call the big moments, he wants to make the big moments - and make everything sound like a big moment. Never feels authentic.

Bingo! Too much of a showman. The best announcers make you feel like you’re almost at the game and don’t try to outshine the game itself.

I think Herbstreit is incredibly good at breaking down plays and showing what's going on in the replay. He seems to always catch fouls during the actual play. It amazes me really. Whoever is in second place as a color guy is really really far back there.

I guarantee he practices saying some of the stuff he says and records it listens and re does it and says that's it, I'm the man.
I'm like you he is so contrived and measured in this world of so much fake stuff, it's just too much for me. I assume some ppl like it and him.
