We're "creating great bump able material"?? Haha. Jeez dude, you're absolutely obsessed with Josh saying things like he's a guaranteed heisman finalist and sure fire first rd NFL pick....and you're NOT creating bump able material? Lol.
I'm anything but anti Dobbs. If you'd honestly read through a number of threads on here rather than get your feelings hurt when anybody mentions Dobbs' accuracy issues, you'd see that I consistently defend him...and I do it with the statistics (you know, those pesky things that by and large are the best indicators we have that define a player's performance) that you want to marginalize and denigrate.
I think Josh, who was middle of the pack throwing the ball in the SEC this year, was a top 4 QB in the league behind Prescott, Allen and Kelly, and projects to be the second best QB in the conference behind Kelly next season....you know, ahead of the 12 other starting qbs in the SEC....boy that's really running him into the ground and worthy of you putting my posts in the D4H archives to be pulled out and bumped this time next year. And trust me, the more you keep incessantly pushing this, the more clearly it looks to everybody who's stupid on here.
Oh I know I'm creating bump worthy material. But I'm gonna be right. It'll only make me look like a genius. You'll be the one looking foolish with how wrong you'll be.
I think everyone is hoping that he doesI'm starting to think you've got some type of parody going on. I'll gladly tip my hat if your Dobbs predictions come true because it'll likely mean we find ourselves in Atlanta in early December with a chance to be one of the last 4 standing. But I'll go on record here that I just don't see another 1,000 yards and another 15 tds passing for Josh, even if he does make great improvement.
Dobbs could very well lead however thats not saying much other than the SEC being weak at that position. Dobbs is a bit overrated. Dont like saying it but its the truth. Some Vols love him some look at whats real about him. Once he learns to throw the ball deep and puts accuracy into it then it will be a different story and Dobbs isn't the best since Manning sorry bout it. Still would take Clausen before him.
Beginning next year, I think we become like Ala. has been for the last 15 years. We can put anyone in at QB and we will win. Ala. has very rarely had an NFL caliber qb but they are always playing for NC. Dobbs, Dormady, and JGar will all have their chance at sending us to the promised land for the next 5-6 years!!
Surely you're not trying to make the case that Kelly isn't as good as Josh because his team lost one game (a game in which he threw for 372 yds and completing 70%to a pretty good Memphis team. It's along the lines of posters who want to try and convince people that Tee Martin, a career 55% thrower, was a great QB/passer at Tennessee because of the completion % record vs a 1-11 SCar team.
Kelly threw for 1500 more yards, 12 more Tds, averaged 2 more yards per attempt (which tells us he threw the ball down the field much more often and better) and completed a much higher percentage of his passes while doing so....over the course of 12 games, not just one.
But the downside is D4H will be rubbing it in everybody's face for months. And he will declare that he is in fact a genius and not just a genius in his own mind.![]()
