IRS admits to targeting Conservative groups

Your definition of "spam" and my definition are very different.

The rest of your post is incoherent gibberish. The FACT is a conservative Republican manager at the IRS was FULLY aware of the proposal to use this screening process.

He AUTHORIZED its use.

He, HIMSELF, used it.

The reason given by the IRS for it is that there had been this big influx of new applications, and they were trying to figure out how to screen them so as to distinguish between political operations, and social ones.

No amount of claiming I'm dodging things, or complaining about Lerner, or open speculation that some mysterious "others" were involved changes these very simple, straightforward, FACTS.

If you think I'm banning or trolling, by explaining these things, then either you, or me, does not belong here. (Hint, it would be you.)

This actually solidifies your claim that there is infighting in the GOP between establishment and TP. You should be happy except it would invalidate your excuse that everything was kosher because a republican is involved. Which argument is more important to you?

You explain nothing on here. You simply post weak article after weak article claiming the downfall of the GOP is imminent yet the results show that to be false.

You don't explain much of anything on here. You're simply left around to balance out the picture pages brigade

A Republican "might" have been involved, pj?

He approved it. He authorized it. He applied the criteria himself.

Come on, why can't you just be honest and admit that his participation in it is very strong evidence that it wasn't a sinister plot, and was a really poorly conceived short cut to deal with the surge of applications at the time?

If the "few rogue agents in Cincinnati" story had been true, then this supervisor's role in the process might mitigate the overall scandal. But, given that we know that the "few rogue agents in Cincinnati" story is complete B.S., this guy's role mitigates nothing. He was a mid-level guy doing what his superiors told him to do. His political leanings mean absolutely nothing.

What's the picture post brigade?

gs is long gone. I've done my best to occasionally fill that void with gifs and memes, but I admit he was the master.

Literally the single most ironic thing I've ever read in my whole life.

You've yet to admit the facts do not support your claims that all were approved and no damage was done. Instead you change the subject or go partisan.

Further, if the political affiliation of one person in the IRS is "very strong evidence" of something then the political affiliation of his boss is likewise.

I'm sorry that you can't deal with these facts.

Lois Lerner, the key figure in the controversy over the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups for added scrutiny, once considered opening up an audit into Bristol Palin’s compensation from a teen pregnancy charity, according to a new Senate report.

The Senate Finance Committee released the results of its two-year investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups Wednesday, with revealing looks at Lerner’s emails.

One email, cited by Chairman Orrin Hatch as an “example of Lerner’s interest in conservative organizations,” asked whether the IRS should open an audit of Candie’s Foundation, which paid Palin $332,500 in compensation to be a celebrity spokesperson. Lerner was concerned that the salary figure could violate IRS rules against charitable groups being for the private benefit of individuals.

Lerner "once considered" an audit because Bristol got over $300,000 to rep something and the question was whether it was charitable -- and you link that up to the social/political group dichotomy as proof of .... What, exactly?

Weak. Very, very weak.

I'm curious if Lerner was looking into the Clinton's giving 15mil to charity and all but $200K went to.........The Clinton Foundation.

To be fair private jets, limousines and 5 star accommodations don't come cheap..and then there's the matter of the salaries Bonnie and Clyde draw. 😆

The problem I have with this is Bristol Palin gets paid over $300K to speak at events. Her claim to fame is she got knocked up right before her mom became a VP candidate. I wish the Palins would all just disappear

Bristol Palin and Meghan McCain should go on a jello wrestling tour together. As the main event.

I'd like to Jenna(s) Bush in a no holds barred Jello wrestling tour with Bristol & Meghan.. I'd pay money for all that.
