Iran

I said both MacArthur and Patton made references to biblical verses and prophecy during their commands. I didn't say they were quoting what you're referring to did I. Nope.

Quote Patton and MacArthur telling troops that their actions were going to fulfill some 19th century end times nonsense dreamed up by John Nelson Darby.

US military leaders telling troops that attacking Iran is fulfilling a prophecy to bring about the return of jesus are the actions of religious radicals.

The United States is not a "christian nation" no matter how much you christian nationalists try to convince everyone otherwise.

Do you believe the Hegseth's referencing biblical prophecy is as radical as the Mullahs within Iran's government?

The point was your claim about Hegseth preaching about the end of days and how radical that may be, while ignoring the radical policies of the nation we're currently at war with.

Some of the quotes from Hegseth:

“Our capabilities are better. Our will is better. Our troops are better. The providence of our almighty God is there protecting those troops, and we’re committed to this mission,”

A couple of days later, not long after returning from a dignified transfer of soldiers killed in action, Hegseth quoted Psalm 144 at a Pentagon press conference: “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.”

You view this as radical?
He also quoted a fake Bible passage from pulp fiction so pardon me if I question the DUI hire’s grasp on Biblical references.

Is Hegseth competing with the mullahs on who can be the biggest religious radical?

I don't need to know anything to about the mullahs to know that the the US secretary of defense telling soldiers that their actions are fulfilling dispensational prophecy, are the actions of a religious radical.

Especially so given that the US is a secular nation.

There's a difference between what Hegseth is quoting, compared to the teachings of the religious fanatics in Iran. He's not providing them with some false illusion of paradise and acceptance if they will sacrifice themselves against the infidels.

Doesn’t matter to what degree. Keep religious motivation of any kind out of the military all taxpayers are contributing a sh*t ton to fund.

and by the end of 1941 we were well and truly into the war.

if slave labor and hundreds of thousands of minorities dying we should have also invaded: The Soviet Union, France, Britain, Belgium, and probably a few others.
We were busy setting up Japanese internment camps.

It's not just hegseth being stupid enough to believe that Jules Winnfield's monologue is biblical.
