I don't need to know anything to about the mullahs to know that the the US secretary of defense telling soldiers that their actions are fulfilling dispensational prophecy, are the actions of a religious radical.

Just read the 1st Amendment and the rest of the Constitution. They set things up so people could worship or not as they please. There's separation of religion and state. That's a secular nation.
