Iran wants nuclear weapons for obvious reasons. To deny that is pretty silly. We can have a debate about how close they were or not, whether the timing necessitated our immediate involvement. That's beside the point though, I'll come back to that later.

Iran struck deals with prior admins that benefited Iran and allowed them to have it both ways. They could continue their on and off proxy wars with Israel with impunity as they could just play it off on the proxy and avoid sanctions while they destabilized the region.

To ignore this is a huge flaw in the guys calculus above. It's been a problem a long time coming. So much so that it's been on the radar and to do lists of the past three or four presidential candidates. Remember Kamala told us she would seek conflict with Iran too. No matter who the president was this was coming.

Let's not pretend this is a partisan issue.

True. We've won 12, 13 times already if we are to believe Trump. Hell, our first win only took a few hours. This 2 week ceasefire that isn't a ceasefire and has lasted over a month is like the encore win. Trump was right. So much winning that people are getting sick of it.

Theres literally people on this very board who declared successful mission and a regime change within 12 hours of the first strike. Truly incredible
