Iran

He suffers from Trump Devotion Syndrome. NK and Russia can actually reach US soil with their weaponry. Hell, this facked up administration has lifted Russian sanctions during this conflict while Russia has been aiding Iran. Everyone but the dumbest Trump supporters know this operation has been FUBAR since the start of it. Amateur hour on display and we've got the 3 stooges involved in the upcoming negotiations. We're extremely lucky we have the most powerful military. Otherwise, Trump has made us the laughingstock of the entire world
The rest of the world is still laughing behind Trump's back. To his face they tell him his new clothes look great.

I'll take the word of John Kelly over your Cheeto-Jesus every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
You'll notice in that article that nowhere does John Kelly says "I was there" "I witnessed him say this" "He told me" "I was in the room/sitting next to him when he said". All he's doing is repeating claims anonymous sources made. That's not confirmation.

I think it's very possible or even likely Trump said some of those things. I think some of the claims in the article were already known. But Kelly's statement in this article isn't the confirmation some are making it out to be.

Operation midnight hammer destroyed Irans nuclear capability but we have to go to war with Iran to stop them from getting nukes.
How many times do you have to ignore this. What exactly was hit by Midnight Hammer?
Answer: Centifuges.
What else was hit?
Answer: Nothing.
Once they told us they had half a ton of enriched uranium, the game changed.

The widely reported list was leaked by the Iranians to the media.
Since when do heads of state give a specific blow by blow while the negotitations are ongoing?
I get them in a private memo from the State Department. You should have been in on it, all the important people were.
Come on man, if it is done right the general public isn't told squat until the deal is done.
No, you’re right. That’s fair.

Problem is, I just don’t trust our government further than I could throw them

They are living active duty servicemen, we probably won't know until they're out or dead.
But seriously I know where they are though. They are eating lunch with the crew that just faked the last mission to the Moon.
We knew who Jessica Lynch was immediately, no? Seems like it would be good PR for Trump

I just don't remember this level of secrecy, obfuscation and propaganda in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I was younger so who knows. We're agreeing to a ceasefire based on Iran's 10-point plan, not the one that has been circulated widely for weeks and they keep pointing to, but a special different 10-point plan. Can it be shared? Of course not. "Most transparent administration in history"

I would think a "confirmation" would be a direct statement saying "He said that to me" or "I heard him say" or something along those lines. Nowhere does Kelly ever say he directly heard Trump say anything the Atlantic article claims he said. The only statement that is indisputable is what Trump said about McCain, none of the rest have been confirmed on the record.

You would think "I like people who weren't captured" would, you know, be enough.

That's fair. Trump says and has said a lot of disgusting and stupid chit, I don't know why people feel the need to lie and make up more. It just discredits them and provides cover for all the stuff he did/does say.

Yep. It's like they want the people who refuse to fault the man to change their minds.

If someone is too nutless to acknowledge the terrible things he has said, possibly fabricating and circulating the same level of offense in the same vein ain't gonna do it either.

If you Trump haters could understand this you could eat a lot less crow save yourself some mental anguish.
If you have ever read Trump's book you would understand exactly what his is doing and stop saying he doesn't keep his word. It's called negotiation.

Trump's Playbook
1) Negotiate
2) Escalate
3) Take a maximalist position.
4) Settle at a higher baseline.

Lib Playbook
1) Say Trump is doing nothing.
2) Freak out at his escalation and maximalist position.
3) Call Trump a liar and a coward that does follow through on his threats when he settles at a higher baseline.

The Libs fall for it everytime.

It's kinda fishy that he didn't bring any of this up while he was there, only after he got canned.

Saying we obliterated their ability to make nuclear weapons isn't a "negotiation," it's just a lie

Trumps says a lot of completely outrageous things. I explained why in a post to Bearded Clam.

In his own statement after Operation Midnight Hammer military action was needed to stop the nuclear threat. He claimed the operation was a success. If he stopped the threat then what's the problem now?

He either lied then or was wrong. You pick

In general I am skeptical of the government, who ever is in the White House because there is a lot that is done by unseen bureaucrats. I do however trust it more than I trust the Satanic Mullahs. And I wouldn;'t want Trump to date my daughter or be my Preacher.
It really bothers me that people who say they are Americans would actively root against their country because they hate the Commander in Chief so much. I was no fan of Biden, Obama, Carter, or LBJ but it is not like I wished harm on American just so they would look bad politically.

Negotiating real estate deals is entirely and fundamentally different than negotiating deals internationally for our country. He has no clue by trying to negotiate it like a real estate deal. It's the difference between a distributive negotiation and an integrated negotiation. There's a big difference in the two. You should do some research before trying to ignorantly inject the "Art of the Deal" as evidence he's got a clue

Or negotiating a deal without inheriting hundreds of miilions of dollars...
