Iran

All the technology we spend billions and billions on, all we're told about how we can put a missile up a fly's ass from outer space, then we hit a school full of little girls and it was just an accident.

********.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought our weapons hit the intended target but it was bad intel that led us to target the school.

Mossad seemingly knows where basically every important member of the regime is 24/7 and they didn't give us a heads up that the building was a school? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Even if it was American intelligence, there are supposed to be multiple levels of checks in place to avoid just this kind of thing.

That makes it even worse.
All I'm saying is that our weapons were accurate. We hit the wrong thing. It's a failure of intel and process rather than the weapons themselves.

Also, thought I'd add that the attempts to downplay, cover up, and deflect from it by this admin is disgusting.

I'll get in trouble for saying this but Ive seen tons on the right spam fake info all day but never get the "LeeAnn"/Tull ban hammer...
Yea not sure what flags for Tull, but not for WTO. Must be something to do with the veracity of the user/account. There’s no subterfuge with WTO - he’s a known known.

It was never 5 to 1 but when someone is as much of a fiscal conservative as me was in the most 25% critical, that was kinda telling
Sure, that’s true. But there’s a volume dynamic in that assessment (which is fine). The others were always here, in numbers, just not in volume. Now they’re out in volume.

That's kind of my point. Either we're the most kickass military with all the best stuff in the world and we intentionally attacked a school, or the bang for our (billions of) bucks is not close to what it should be, because for what we spend it damn well better be close to what the propaganda says. Neither answer is satisfactory.

More than likely its not part of that false dichotomy IMO. It was more likely an intelligence failure or a simple targeting mistake. You know what the average age is of the soldiers and sailors firing cruise missiles? Bet its under 25years old. More than likely they drink like fish, stay amped up on Redbull on duty and spend most of their free time playing video games. Some kid misinterpreted his target sheet and chose all 6 buildings right next to eachother instead of 5 of them with an all girls school INTENTIONALLY positioned right in the middle of the IRGC compound as human shields. A simple mistake with horrific consequences from an NC0 with a stripe or 2 that makes sheit pay doing a job that most people wont halfway around the world.

Our missiles and targeting systems have proven to be accurate within a meter or 2 at most from incredible distances hundreds of miles away. Our technology isn't crap...on most weapon systems and vehicles its the best on Earth. That doesn't mean that we intentionally decided to kill a school of little girls. It means somebody screwed up either on their GPS coords, their Intel, or simply the actual process of targeting the weapon. Theres a BIG difference between US military bases that DO have schools on them somewhere...and intentionally placing your kids school right next to highly valuable targets in an attempt to use them as human shields. Those are 2 entirely different scenarios...and Iraq, Hamas, and all the other muslims in the ME do the exact same BS. Putting AAA on top of hospitals, and SAMs at schools. Its disgusting.

This is the most concerning part about this all. To commit an atrocity and to lie about it is despicable. To do so when it’s so clearly obvious that you are lying is not only despicable, but an embarrassment to this country and our values. Any human with a brain can come to the conclusion that Iran did not use a tomahawk missile to kill that girls school.

My response to that is right above yours. It's not good.

That’s an assumption that’s not based on reality. What is reality is that even with them being psychotic they weren’t developing nuclear weapons and posed no real threat to the US. NK on the other hand (who I also think is a paper tiger) does have nuclear weapons and has declared the US an enemy and also wants us destroyed. Acting like Iran is more of a threat because their Muslim is funny

Both the IAEA and US intelligence said

It’s not because they’re following Islam and Muslim. They went so far to the radical element of their religion that’s it’s part of their doctrine.

Their belief in the revolutionary ideology is constantly being used against us and our allies. Whether directly or by proxy.

For sure. Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow
I’m a vet of OIF and watching this would have me feeling just like the lads in Braveheart. A quote comes to mind before 1 of the big battles: ‘the nobles will negotiate, if they made a deal we go home. If not, we charge.’
