Iran

I forgot about that, but I have considered joining in a few years. People gotta look at the bigger picture and that’s the fact that there are countries that are suffering from the oppression of totalitarianism and dictatorship, and we need to use our strength to achieve peace and bring justice towards said countries like Iran
There’s not one country on this Earth that has benefited or feels it has benefited from the use of American strength. Maybe South Korea and Taiwan. So maybe two. We flush our soldiers and endless supplies of cash and end up hated. We are literally housing and feeding refugees in THIS country by interfering in other countries. If you need an example, we assisted in creating AL Queda by the use of our military. What you think happens in your mind is not a reality.

Iranians are fighting two oppressors:

1) the Islamic regime - who silences them and replaces their voice with state propaganda
2) Morally confused westerners - who carry state propaganda forward as fact

One places the muzzle on, the other fixes it in place
The two forces work collaboratively toward one of the greatest systematic erasure efforts of our time…

all in the name of “anti-oppression.”

Elica Le Bon~Iranian
What state propaganda do you mean?
Is Elica Le Bon Iranian? Has she or either of her parents ever been there?

the government still needs to be limited, I’m not quite sure the extent yet is what can change. And here’s what does change my perspective on immigration, when I go to the bathroom and I hear Pablo and Enrique and see them smoking, doing drugs or whatever bumping class, and then I get in the car with one of my friends who’s dad is a legal immigrant, and hear how pissed he gets about illegals, it’s political socialization, the stuff I grow up around has a dominating influence on my political ideology, and there are millions of others that are the same way. And propaganda or not, it does my heart good to see an oppressive regime like Iran get destroyed by our kick ass military and see the people in the street celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl
Is Enrique and Pablo illegal? Are they the only kids smoking in school?

I'm not a centrist and have never claimed to be. Just more ignorance

When did you decide that the USA slaughtering thousands of innocents was ok with your core beliefs?
Not arguing, just adding some numbers to your post.

According to HRANA which is a human rights advocacy group for Iran, the number of Iranian civilians killed as of March 29, 2026 was 1551. I found a mid-March number quoted by NPR which was "more than 1200" civilians, so somewhat in agreement with the HRANA number.

And how many millions have died because it's US actions since 9/11?

Let's not forget 175 of those deaths are little girls who simply made the mistake of going to school. The USA blamed Iranian tomahawks for theirv deaths

Its not a question of party politics, or at least shouldn't be, though of course that happens quite a bit. I'm still open to being convinced at some point that this was wise, or even necessary. Its just that Trump and the administration keep moving the goal.posts, its tough to take them seriously.
We are totally kicking their azz and fixing a problem that is fifty years old. No one has had the stones to do it before.
Iran is no light weight and believe me Baby Mao and Stalin’s embryo is taking notice and thinking holy shite.

What about the people who have died at the hands of the Iranians? They have killed thousands including Americans and 40,000 of their own people over a weekend. They kill their own girls for Judas Priest sake. You are a tool.

That's really not our responsibility unless you believe we should go around the globe liberating everyone. My point was that we're really bad at doing that as the last 25 years have proven

Like I said in the post, I am just putting the number 1500 out there as a reasonably substantiated statistic for civilian causalities in the War with Iran as of March 29, 2026. Hopefully all agree that loss of life, especially non-combatants is a tragedy.

Some will argue the number is unacceptable because the US has no business being in Iran. Others will argue that the number is small compared to the 30,000 citizens recently slaughtered by the IRGC.

Here are a few without much thought:

East Germany
Bulgaria
Czechoslovakia
Romania
Albania
Hungary
Poland
Yugoslavia

The 30-40k is a made up number. I didn't buy it one but given how this war has been set up for decades

If it wasn’t for our military SPENDING however, most of Eastern Europe would still be part of the Soviet Union
