Iran

Persian, what’s your take on what’s going on in Iran? Do you still have family there?
What about the Persians as a whole?

1) I don’t have family there. Or ones that I talk to anyway.

2) My take is I would love for the regime to collapse, as they’re despicable fanatical ideologues that have ruined the country. But Israel is also morally compromised and fanatical in a different manner, and only a fool would trust them or America for that matter.

3) Most Persians want regime change. But the longer this drags out, and the more civilian infrastructure gets destroyed, then the less optimistic people become.

The problem is, the only way to ensure true regime change would be a ground invasion. America isn’t ready to commit to what would likely be the deadliest war since Vietnam. So with that said, the likely outcome is that Trump will find any opportunity to leave this dumpster fire, otherwise this is career and legacy suicide. But it seems like Iran is profiting off lifted oil sanctions, tolling tankers through Hormuz, and having leverage to essentially collapse the gulf states economy as much as they see fit. Only a fool at this point would see a Trump withdrawal as anything but a victory for the regime.

Also, I don’t think people realize the destruction and economic impact this has had to our gulf allies. These are wealthy countries, but they are quite small and do not have the capacity and tolerance for destruction. Iran is massive in comparison, and can absorb the economic damage. The gulf countries cannot use the strait for oil and energy exports. Their tourism has tanked. Businesses will certainly reconsider using this region moving for wars as. Their economies will be devastated. If the Iranian regime stays in power, this will be catastrophic for the gulf states going forward. This will turn into a massive swing in regional influence.

If true, be interesting to know the second pilots story since so much time has passed since the first pilot was rescued. Could have dropped in a more dangerous area than the first. Hate to be in either pilots shoes.
The seats don’t egress at the same time they are staggered for safety reasons. With a jet going a few hundred knots when they ejected it doesn’t take much stagger time to build separation. And then you have the drift on descent adding possibly to separation. Unless they put eyes on each other during descent it’s easy to build some significant separation. Then if they landed in an area with locals they have to move slowly and carefully.

Just thank the lord they have both been rescued.

And there it is.

Hating Israel is the one issue that unites every failing ideology on earth…Islamists, far left activists, and authoritarian regimes. They all agree on this one thing. And you think repeating their slogans makes you a critical thinker?

So he shades his own country, Israel AND The US…but you think he’s biased. The only comments that satisfy you, are the ones that slurp Israel and absolve it of any crime. You’re the one who has zero ability to critically think.

Agree and as usual it was dumb for Trump to commit to this without an actual strategic plan
