Ports in America that America doesn't control?
Activities run by subsidiaries of subsidiaries of companies in countries we ought not be dealing with the way we are. Sometimes even big boys that we know about (COSCO, for instance). There's a lot of shady stuff going on with regards to ownership and less obvious things like equipment and operations at a lot of our major ports.

I understand. An American port under the heavy influence and/or employed by people who do not align with American interests.

Is that accurate?

Yes- and when you control operations, you can make sure things don't get inspected as they should.

Or, in extreme examples, you can sabotage and/or use the port in other interests.

Just found out that the Philippines is on the verge of a fuel crisis. My colleagues there saying the Jeepneys (carpool taxi system, massive transit) are just gonna park.

We spent the last year insulting the world, disrupting the world economy, and now we're completely ****ing it for no reason, and not even to America's benefit.

We are a far cry from America is great because she is good.

Several other places in Asia are in a bind too. Vietnam's cutting flights, Indonesia's subsidizing fuel, etc.

What the Hell is Bibi’s deal? Does he really want to world to plunge into a global war that’ll have no winners?

How would attacking Iran’s arms industry initiate a global war? Everyone in the world except Iran, Russia (maybe) and US progressives would like to see Iran defanged. They have no military partners, just oil customers.

Israel could do the world a favor by telling the workers to take a couple of days off and then just raze the arms factories. It’s not a permanent solution but would last for a few years.

Mass text in Iran promotes Trump assassination campaign, $25m pledged

A mass text message sent to mobile users in Iran promoted what it described as an “international campaign to reward the assassination of Trump,” according to screenshots of the message shared with Iran International.

The message urges recipients to register their support through a website and to confirm participation by sending a number via SMS. It also directs users to further information on the domestic platform Rubika.

The text included a link to the campaign's website that could not be accessed from outside Iran.

Tehran-based Didban Iran reported that the campaign has gained around 290,000 supporters, with total pledged amounts reaching $25 million.

The website says that these sums have not been collected and instead represent pledged amounts, according to the report.

A statement on the site said the campaign was launched following what it described as a jihad fatwa issued in response to the killing of Iran’s supreme leader, and that it aimed to fund a reward for the assassin of US President Donald Trump.

These folks need a reality check. Newsflash: We're the USA and you're not. We have the ability to do things like take out your leader. You do not possess such powers. That's why you shouldn't have F'd with us for the past 47 yrs. You ought not chant death to America 'cause we have technology you can't imagine. Not knowing this kind of stuff is how you got in this pickle. Don't compound your mistake. Learn from it

Well, no one ever thought they would fly two commercial air carriers into the world trade towers either…or the pentagon. I wouldn’t discount anything. I find it more likely, though, that they try to get vessels, by way of water under false pretenses with dirty nukes, close to major port cities(NYC, Boston, LA, San Diego, Seattle, etc.) and energy installations on the coast to be detonated all at once.

Our energy grid is unbelievably vulnerable. There was an article we discussed on here previously as well that said to update all the substation and power plants etc to have good security with cameras, EMP shielding etc was only estimated to cost $2B....a rounding error on what our government spends daily. Its insane. This should have been done in Trumps last term.

Spent like 10x more than that on this war already.

Hey that's valid. I am not real happy about this war either, and would much rather American taxpayers money be spent at home or not spent at all. We need to finish what we started though and destroy every implement of war and missile/bomb/drone production facility in that country now that we are there. Weaken their regime to the point that the people can revolt and demand real elections of their leaders. We also need to take out every nuclear enrichment site and any other part of their program to get nukes that remains.

I do not support boots on the ground. No American blood should be shed in a country where so far their own people are not willing to fight for their freedom.

Iran Rejects Trump’s 15-point cease-fire plan — and makes wild demands instead

Iran completely rejected President Trump’s 15-point peace plan on Wednesday — and put forth its own maximalist demands to end the war.

After the president claimed that Iran agreed to major components of his peace plan, including giving up their nuclear weapon ambition, Tehran told mediators that Trump’s plan was unacceptable, according to state media.

Iranian lawmakers have instead presented their own deal that would see the Islamic republic rule over the Strait of Hormuz and ensure its safety, along with that of its terror proxies abroad.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has consolidated power within the remains of Tehran’s regime, vowed to keep the war going until the US closed all American bases in the Gulf and provided reparations for its attacks on Iran.

Along with a full American withdrawal, Iran’s leader insisted they should have full control over the Strait of Hormuz, the key shipping route that has cut off access to 20% of the world’s oil supply.

The change would allow Iran to collect fees from the ships that travel through the passage, similar to what Egypt does with the Suez Canal.

The new source of revenue for Iran would be compounded with an end to all sanctions on the Islamic republic, according to Tehran’s demands.

Iran also demands a permanent end to the war, as well as Israel’s fight with the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon.
