Ports in America that America doesn't control?
Activities run by subsidiaries of subsidiaries of companies in countries we ought not be dealing with the way we are. Sometimes even big boys that we know about (COSCO, for instance). There's a lot of shady stuff going on with regards to ownership and less obvious things like equipment and operations at a lot of our major ports.

I understand. An American port under the heavy influence and/or employed by people who do not align with American interests.

Is that accurate?

Yes- and when you control operations, you can make sure things don't get inspected as they should.

Or, in extreme examples, you can sabotage and/or use the port in other interests.

Just found out that the Philippines is on the verge of a fuel crisis. My colleagues there saying the Jeepneys (carpool taxi system, massive transit) are just gonna park.

We spent the last year insulting the world, disrupting the world economy, and now we're completely ****ing it for no reason, and not even to America's benefit.

We are a far cry from America is great because she is good.

Several other places in Asia are in a bid too. Vietnam's cutting flights, Indonesia's subsidizing fuel, etc.
