The Iranian regime aren't victims. I don't think this war, particularly one without a clear objective and plan to achieve it, was wise. I do however want the best for the Iranian people.Of course you don’t know that there is war going on in the Middle East in this thread about war in the Middle East.
My issue with it is that it’s selling a political narrative that we had to attack Iran when we did, in the manner we did. This whole thing has been avoidable and even though we did go through with it, there is no benefit to any of us.The Iranian regime aren't victims. Apparently you took some issue with that...... Again I'm not sure why...... And your post was clear as mud in articulating why.
So you're taking an issue with a stance I am not endorsing.......... Makes zero sense. But ok.My issue with it is that it’s selling a political narrative that we had to attack Iran when we did, in the manner we did. The Islamic Regime is desperately trying to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. It makes sense, they are hoping they can activate its bot armies alleging a “Zionist false flag” and ignite a global jihad against the Jews.
Ain’t gonna work.
Israel should do it for them and just say the Iranians did.The Islamic Regime is desperately trying to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. It makes sense, they are hoping they can activate its bot armies alleging a “Zionist false flag” and ignite a global jihad against the Jews.

Pj doesn’t care. He’s progressiveIn the context of immigration, I think assimilation is just ensuring that you abandon principles that are fundamentally incompatible in a decent, civilized 1st world country. Abandoning things like viewing women (and in some cases children) as property, killing others you disagree with etc. Things that are unfortunately common occurrences in the 3rd world.
Is bombing a school and killing 175 little children a civilized act? The estimates are about 4 million civilians killed by the gwot. Is that civilized? I've seen multiple posts on this board about how women should not be allowed leadership positions in a church. Is that civilized? In the context of immigration, I think assimilation is just ensuring that you abandon principles that are fundamentally incompatible in a decent, civilized 1st world country. Why should America ever allow anyone into this Country that doesn't make an effort to assimilate? It's like raising an Orphan child that benefits from having a new home and doesn't want to be part of the family.
I think this is simplifying the real reason this admin is so aggressive. They are going after these illegal aliens aggressively for the exact reason Biden was so aggressive in allowing them in.Is bombing a school and killing 175 little children a civilized act? The fact is when most talk about "assimilation" it's just a code for some boomer wanting everyone to speak English. We've got a govt targeting people that are actually assimilating and contributing to making this country prosper yet they're being taken out simply because it's easy. There are enough criminals and useless people for ICE to be busy for years. Don't pull a gun from behind a roadblock on a carpenter, maid or gardener. We are moving on the wrong direction of your goal is civilized
Kent's answer is not Carlson's "reporting," it came directly from his mouthBut it didn't. It came from Tucker Carlson, who, if you have kept up over the last few weeks, has an agenda he is pushing. Some of what he elicits may be true. Some may not. That is the problem with being a hack. Noone takes your reporting at its word.
A Fox News poll means that they handled all of the sampling, questioning, etc. themselves behind closed doors and then reported the results back to us. Carlson is not reporting or summarizing what Kent said, we don't have to take his word for it, it is on video. It is actually a very, very good reason to discredit it. As an example, a very wise poster here has been skeptical of other news sources, specifically relating to poll numbers, because of the news source which reported it:
You would agree that saying, oh,
would be absurd, would you not? I mean, the fact that it is Fox asking the question is exactly the reason to discredit it. Same applies to Tucker's questions.
Feel free to change my mind.
If you actually take it with a grain of salt, then it would make more sense to leave it out than to throw it in with a CYA "reportedly"Uh, you did see where I said "reportedly", right? that is because I take all of it with grain of salt. Even the stuff I agree with. Try it sometime. It is quite empowering.
That's a bullsh*t "premise" that you invented yourself. I didn't say it is automatically true nor that you need to believe it, as you tried to dishonestly claim earlier. But yes, if the director of an intelligence organization discussed the intelligence he had seen, it is certainly worth talking about rather than summarily dismissing based on the person sitting across from him. Now: Back to the question you ignored, which was based on your premise that the guy making the statements is credible because he was the "former director of the National Counterterrorism Center", do you automatically assign credibility to the statements of the President, AG or FBI Director because of the positions they occupy?
Things between them and the Saudis have been poor for years. This isn’t reflective of a paradigm shift. Also I’ve seen about 8-10 of your posts that have made me cringe and I’ve still been able to absorb calling names. I would be really careful about the use of the word idiot.I said that our current and recent problems have been with an ideology not a physical country. If you find yourself siding with the terrorist head choppers you are a fool, they would lop your head off in a heartbeat. If you look at the people you are agreeing with and they are evil bad people, your probably on the wrong side.
