Iran

Of course you don’t know that there is war going on in the Middle East in this thread about war in the Middle East.
The Iranian regime aren't victims. I don't think this war, particularly one without a clear objective and plan to achieve it, was wise. I do however want the best for the Iranian people.

Apparently you took some issue with that...... Again I'm not sure why...... And your post was clear as mud in articulating why.

My issue with it is that it’s selling a political narrative that we had to attack Iran when we did, in the manner we did. This whole thing has been avoidable and even though we did go through with it, there is no benefit to any of us.

So you're taking an issue with a stance I am not endorsing.......... Makes zero sense. But ok.

The Islamic Regime is desperately trying to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. It makes sense, they are hoping they can activate its bot armies alleging a “Zionist false flag” and ignite a global jihad against the Jews.

Ain’t gonna work.

Don't you want Iran to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque so that Israel can rebuild the temple, and you can then revel in your John Nelson Darby end-times fantasy?

Israel should do it for them and just say the Iranians did.

In the context of immigration, I think assimilation is just ensuring that you abandon principles that are fundamentally incompatible in a decent, civilized 1st world country. Abandoning things like viewing women (and in some cases children) as property, killing others you disagree with etc. Things that are unfortunately common occurrences in the 3rd world.
Pj doesn’t care. He’s progressive

Is bombing a school and killing 175 little children a civilized act? The estimates are about 4 million civilians killed by the gwot. Is that civilized? I've seen multiple posts on this board about how women should not be allowed leadership positions in a church. Is that civilized?

The fact is when most talk about "assimilation" it's just a code for some boomer wanting everyone to speak English. We've got a govt targeting people that are actually assimilating and contributing to making this country prosper yet they're being taken out simply because it's easy. There are enough criminals and useless people for ICE to be busy for years. Don't pull a gun from behind a roadblock on a carpenter, maid or gardener. We are moving on the wrong direction of your goal is civilized

Why should America ever allow anyone into this Country that doesn't make an effort to assimilate? It's like raising an Orphan child that benefits from having a new home and doesn't want to be part of the family.

100%. Case closed.

Get with the program or GTFO.

Only 1 type of immigrants/religion is responsible for 9.11, bombing the Boston Marathon, terror attacks at the Super Bowl in NOLA etc. That isn't just "not assimilating". Theres nothing wrong with having "China Town" in NYC and SF. Restaurants and shops that serve BOTH Chinese people and happily welcome customers of all kinds. Muslims are different. Period. They've already ruined the UK, Germany etc to where they canceled ALL public Christmas celebrations they've been doing for hundreds if not thousands of years...because the government admittedly cannot keep the public safe from Muslim terror attacks.

Many of us are NOT willing to let that happen in the US regardless of the cost. Period. So there are 2 options:

1. Curb immigration from those countries right now and keep muslim populations at minimal levels and very well monitored or

2. Eventual bloodshed when people take it into their own hands. Which will happen when/if terror attacks start taking place in the South. The well armed and largely Christian public here will NOT take the BS thats happening right now in Germany and the UK laying down. Period. Attack a Church, attack a Christmas celebration in the South and there will be bloodshed. Whether its right, wrong, or somewhere in between doesn't matter. It will happen.

So which is better? #1 or #2 ???

There is no option #3 just let the muslims instill fear in the public with their terror attacks and cancel public Christian and Jewish events out of fear like in Europe. That crap wont happen in a nation with over a Billion firearms in civilian hands. You can try to stick your head in the sand and ignore it but 1 of those 2 things above are gonna happen eventually.

Brilliant man discusses the "ungrateful immigrants"

I think this is simplifying the real reason this admin is so aggressive. They are going after these illegal aliens aggressively for the exact reason Biden was so aggressive in allowing them in.

I'm not saying it's right, but the reason Trump is going after them is power....... Same reason they were ushered in.

Both parties of our government are more interested in bolstering their money and power all else takes a back seat.

And which post did I state that?
It's the casualness with which you posted how Iran almost hit it with one of their strikes. Your outrage seems feigned.

You can be against what we did and are doing to Iran and also be against Iran destroying a significant religious site.

But it didn't. It came from Tucker Carlson, who, if you have kept up over the last few weeks, has an agenda he is pushing. Some of what he elicits may be true. Some may not. That is the problem with being a hack. Noone takes your reporting at its word.
Kent's answer is not Carlson's "reporting," it came directly from his mouth
It is actually a very, very good reason to discredit it. As an example, a very wise poster here has been skeptical of other news sources, specifically relating to poll numbers, because of the news source which reported it:

You would agree that saying, oh,

would be absurd, would you not? I mean, the fact that it is Fox asking the question is exactly the reason to discredit it. Same applies to Tucker's questions.

Feel free to change my mind.
A Fox News poll means that they handled all of the sampling, questioning, etc. themselves behind closed doors and then reported the results back to us. Carlson is not reporting or summarizing what Kent said, we don't have to take his word for it, it is on video.
Uh, you did see where I said "reportedly", right? that is because I take all of it with grain of salt. Even the stuff I agree with. Try it sometime. It is quite empowering.
If you actually take it with a grain of salt, then it would make more sense to leave it out than to throw it in with a CYA "reportedly"
Now: Back to the question you ignored, which was based on your premise that the guy making the statements is credible because he was the "former director of the National Counterterrorism Center", do you automatically assign credibility to the statements of the President, AG or FBI Director because of the positions they occupy?
That's a bullsh*t "premise" that you invented yourself. I didn't say it is automatically true nor that you need to believe it, as you tried to dishonestly claim earlier. But yes, if the director of an intelligence organization discussed the intelligence he had seen, it is certainly worth talking about rather than summarily dismissing based on the person sitting across from him.

I said that our current and recent problems have been with an ideology not a physical country. If you find yourself siding with the terrorist head choppers you are a fool, they would lop your head off in a heartbeat. If you look at the people you are agreeing with and they are evil bad people, your probably on the wrong side.
Things between them and the Saudis have been poor for years. This isn’t reflective of a paradigm shift. Also I’ve seen about 8-10 of your posts that have made me cringe and I’ve still been able to absorb calling names. I would be really careful about the use of the word idiot.
