I have to run to meet a client so I can’t verify at this moment; but I found this on BBC.com. Never google BBC explosion to find images like this I found out….

Unless there is proof of a direct hit on the school, I don’t think there is anything you can do to not believe this was just collateral damage with the successful mission. It’s a tragic outcome.
If that map is accurate, it moves the school to "likely collateral of a strategic target". Not as reprehensible but still want America to do better than that. I assume we couldn't conduct at night when the kids are back home for some reason.

It sure would be nice if we could have a better standard than that but it's almost impossible. When ordinance starts exploding, rounds fly down range innocents will be hurt and killed. We take more precautions (to the point of endangering our own troops) than any other country to prevent as many innocent causalities as we can. Accidents happen in combat and when they do it's awful and we should learn from them but in no way are they an indictment of our armed forces.

Basically sh!t happens in combat and we should do our best to limit the sh!t that does happen.
Or...and I know this is a blasphemous concept...we should do our best to limit the combat we wage.

Yes I do. I've pointed that out in this thread. It's bc Congress is full of feckless dipshits and the executive branch will always want to expand its power. It's the complete opposite of what our founders designed and we should all be pissed about it
Congress'' only real power over the military is the power of the purse and the War Powers Act. If they pull the plug on the money there is nothing the president or military can do. In the 1850's Congress cut the funding for Commodore Perry's excursion to Japan and they had to return. By law the President has only 60 days when Congress invokes the War Powers Act. Beyond that It is well with in his rights to wage war without a formal declaration of war.

Sounds great... Except tanker crews are a bit more concerned about taking a .50 in the teeth than whether they'll bosses will collect on their blown up boat - that belongs to a corporation.

Hormuz has and always will be a nasty choke point. I don't see our Naval vessels steaming through there to protect oil cargo anytime soon... No matter what the liar in chief says.

Wouldn't be surprised if Putin is sending Iran additional missiles to help its resistance... this war (and it's continuation) are a godsend to Russia financially. Trump just gave India a 30 day pass to buy Russian oil again... And prices of Ural crude have skyrocketed.

Removed from office. If war crimes were committed, hold trials.., and no, it’s not just Trump. Can’t really do this retroactively, but it should have been done during Vietnam. We are way too far down the path of no accountability now… so we need to start a new precedent which is always difficult.

I’m not completely opposed to that idea as long as we have some pretty sturdy guardrails to prevent mid-war impeachments over a malfunction or bad targeting mistake. That would handcuff our military to the point it would be near impossible for us to fight even a war like WWII.

There’s some reports the US had old intel and didn’t know it was a school. Thats what I lean towards believing. Regardless terrible thing. War is hell and it sucks people have to experience it

I think the idea would be to discourage our politicians from having such quick trigger fingers.

Congress needs to reclaim its power and rescind the Presidents war powers. POTUS needs the power to immediately commit US forces in defense but any offensive action like we’re seeing in Iran should require a congressional declaration of war.

Exactly what crimes do you feel have been commited?
