I’d agree completely with you assessment of the parties.
It’s not lost on me that every time someone gets elected from either side that stands for (whatever their belief is) they end up broken and ultimately quitting.
I don’t want to say it’s broken beyond repair…..but it’s broken beyond repair.
I’ll be interested to see how long your guy in NewYork lasts before he completely caves or quits.

I agree, I think a lot of people on the left as well are interested to see how closely he sticks to his principles. So far he has straddled the line pretty well IMO. NYC is one of the places least likely to force an actual left-winger to "cave" but I know the argument is that his policies would eventually become destructive and unpopular anywhere

I think it's safe to say Iranians across the world with family in Iran and skin in the game are a decent litmus test. I'd say the vast majority are glad there's an opportunity to change directions and trepidation of what may be yet to come.

I know you want the Iranians to hate Trump as much as you do but they've lived a much different reality than we have.

I was referring to the hypothetical of bombing everyone in Iran to protect just one US soldier. I didn't create that hypothetical. He did.
