See, stuff like this is just completely ignorant of what Iran was and currently is, and it shouldn’t be taken seriously. “Before Islam and communism?” Iran has been an Islamic country for well over a millennium, it was secular but still majority Muslim, and it most certainly is not communist-in fact, the Iranian regime was very much opposed to the Soviets and considered them to be the “Lesser Satan”. I hate communism but saying Iran fell to communism is ridiculous. Also anyone who wants the Shah back shouldn’t be taken seriously, the shahdom is much of why Iran ended up turning into a theocracy in the first place.

You can oppose the Iranian regime and hope the worst befalls those who run it while not also posting absurd nonsense such as this.

They democratically elected a socialist. During the red scare, the CIA sponsored a coup. The shah was installed (and he was a tyrant) as our puppet. Always seen as illegitimate and unpopular, the shah suffered loss of power during revolution and that is when religious theocracy took hold of Iran. Before that, they were the most western country in the region.

Iran Blocks Strait of Hormuz: Revolutionary Guard tells ships they are 'not allowed' through world's most vital export route​

Ships have been reportedly blocked from passing through the world's most vital route for exporting oil by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in retaliation for joint Israel-US air strikes targeting the regime.

The Strait of Hormuz connects the biggest Gulf oil producers, such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.

However vessels have been receiving VHF transmission from Iran's Revolutionary Guards saying 'no ship is allowed to pass the Strait of Hormuz', an official from the European Union's naval mission Aspides said on Saturday.


The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Iran had not formally confirmed any such order.

Tehran has for years threatened to block the narrow waterway in retaliation for any attack on the Islamic Republic.

Come on, they need to organize like Vietnam. Love them waving Iranian flags... I don't necessarily want to go to war but defending a despicable regime like Khomeni's Iran isn't a good look.
