Sometimes the window of opportunity is short-lived. I'm also not stupid enough to think I know all of the intelligence with these strikes as many on here think they do. I don't advocate full debate but I do think Congress needs to have a very select group of representatives who sign off on this kind of thing.

The document was written before this kind of military action and window could've been anticipated and written in. We need to have some slack AND I think most POTUS have consulted with Defense Commitees, perhaps Trump did also.

The idea is: we don't need to have an imperial Presidency. Eventually, we'll end up with a POTUS we're VERY VERY VERY uncomfortable with, worse than Obama was or HRC would've been.

Again, I support the spirit of the document: 3 branches, none too powerful, very limited vs states control of most things, etc.
