I really don't have an aversion to fiction, I just don't find much that is interesting. As a kid I loved Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. Read some Steven King and Koontz as an adult.

I wouldn't look to fantasy or supernatural fiction for philosophical symbolism beyond basic understanding of man vs man.

I believe it mostly comes through Mexico from China*. Same difference. Pursuing problems with China or Mexico is not an attractive proposition for different reasons.

*In fact, the large majority of fent was coming directly from China to the US for a while, which is one of the main reasons why focusing the southern border to stop fent would be ineffective. They can get it here directly, Mexico is just easier (for now).
