Reality: Trump lied. There have been no “very good and productive conversations” and of course no “major points of agreement.”

For what it's worth with a decimated leadership pool, with multiple layers of leadership killed and no clear leader it could be that Trump and the others mentioned are dialing with one group and the IRGC and foreign diplomats reporting something different.

What will be telling us who retains power. Is the IRGC powerful enough to keep from fragmenting and hold power. That would be bad news, the US needs to keep pressure on The IRGC but the world needs fuel. The world will win out for obvious reasons.

It's easy to see from your posts why you think he's doing a great job. This Iran things is going great, Ice is popular, prices are down and fraud is being eliminated. Heck, I bet we're really close to seeing his promise of paying off the national debt get fulfilled

By what metric is the Iran campaign not going smashing well? In fact, anyone that looks at this and not is amazed at the objectives that have been done in less than a month, they are insane. I know China and Russia are.
Between Ukraine and this little excursion, the commies have seen how well their equipment stands against U.S. equipment.

By Trump's own words, the fact we're there is a failure. The goals keep changing and we're accomplishing next to nothing except burning fuel, bombs and money. It's an absolutely worthless exercise for the American people but fits our current foreign policy perfectly.

How can you be serious here?

If the ultimate goal was to spend a crap ton, destabilize markets putting more pressure on people already hurting at home. Exposing your fragmented relationships with traditional allies. Failed to topple the radical government in place. And within a few weeks having to find a way to crawfish out of this conflict.

Not sure how any of this equates to going well.......much less "smashing well".

China and Russia just watched us spend supplies that will take us years to replenish while the weakest of their axis found a way to put enough pressure on us to force us to back off.

And while our equipment looks to be better we've bled a lot of it. And China has spent little to nothing. It will take us years to replenish what was spent.

Modern warfare is an extension of political warfare, and we've not been very successful there either.

Crime rate was already improving. Memphis and DC crime has never ever been a problem for me. Even when I lived in Arlington in the height of DC's murder problem. But glad national guard picking up the elite's trash is working out for you.

Trump has taken a government agency that was messy and terrible at the border and put it all over the map, and they're not doing a notably better job at finding the bad guys, and now they're in an airport near you. They are killing Americans and spending lots of $ and eroding the constitution, but hey. Again. Good for you. #winning

Did Trump not say other POTUS would start a war because "he has no ability to negotiate"? Was this not kicked off by Israel? What goals are being accomplished? Why do those change daily?

It is kinda like arguing with irrational people, sometime you have to leave them to the depravity of their own minds and ignore them. In Iran's case, a irrational crazies can not be allowed to have ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons, that can not be ignored.

Those were obliterated. Trump said so

The nuke excuse was never mentioned when the war kicked off. It was only added later when they had to start manufacturing reasons to deflect from Israel's idiocy

But given the in depth analysis you've provided the board I guess stepping away is the correct move.

The bolded part alone is the scariest.

We have overengineered so much in our military, combined that with total destruction of American manufacturing, and thrown a cherry on top of asinine laws and regulations that cripple the critical manufacturers that used to keep military production going. The result is a supply chain that is slow, inefficient, and can't keep up with actual war time. And more than that produces total crap!

Now consider that we shipped off a bunch of our old reserves to places like Ukraine. The US is running around waving its dick with an empty magazine.
