There are many better theories on why it was an explosive device than a bullet, but I doubt anyone who is narrow minded on the subject would accept anything that isn’t from a “trusted news source”.

Without knowing what the bullet in question was there's no possible way to positively make that assertion. Are we talking, for instance, a heavy for caliber pill like the Swift A-Frame, Nosler Partition or Barnes TTSX then we can talk. If a lighter more frangible bullet then it gets way more iffy.

There's too many variables in play. I don't put much into conspiracy theories unless somebody can bring some really vetted hard evidence. If you have any of that available, and I'm being dead serious, I'd genuinely like you to link it for me.
