Iran

The US military is the world's biggest socialist program but people who "hate socialism" demand we spend more on this boondoggle even though the US military lost to jihadis who paid their own way to fight the Americans.

Meh, it's more getting fleeced by contracting rules, and locked into weapon systems because of manufacturing in congressional districts represented by people who directly control the purse strings and have a vested interest, both in the jobs staying in their districts and their own personal investing in defense stocks.

More crony capitalism than socialism since there is an argument that national defense is a core responsibility of the federal government under Article I.

The Kurds in Iran should take note of what's happening to the Kurds in Syria to see what happens when you do the bidding of Israel and the USA. The Kurds did everything we asked of them during the Syrian Civil War, but now that we got Al Qaeda installed as the governing body in Syria, the Kurds are on their own and they're not faring any better than the Christians are, with both groups faring drastically worse than they did during the decades when Assad was in power and the Iranians were assisting the previous Syrian government.

Does anyone else see the irony of someone constantly claiming shadowy Jewish power structures steering US policy quoting Henry Kissinger? 😂😂😂

I know it isn't the same, but isn't that what we saw with egg prices the last couple of years? quick run up and then once the price started dropping it did so incrementally?
Egg prices spiked due to the Biden administration ordering the culling of millions of chickens. They went down over time as the size of the flocks increased.

The doomsday clock is 85 seconds to midnight (the closest to such since the creation of the doomsday clock) and we're not collectively freaking out.
Iran has neither nuclear warheads nor the means to carry one here, and neither Russia nor China seem terribly interested in entering this war. No matter what the DDC says (especially since it includes factors like AI, global climate change, etc), the Cuban Missile standoff in 1962 posed an immensely higher and more immediate threat to the U.S.

No, they are not.
Whatever. Isn't it funny that until the present conflict that most of Europe supported us. That was before the influx of Muslim immigrants and now they are a large constituency and the leaders are afraid of ticking them off. Look back at history, it is the method of conquest for Islam, infiltrate, populate, dominate.

The DDC isn't going off metrics based on threats to the US.
