Gas price fluctuations are noticed. But I am not so sure that other commodities don't have the hyper-reaction and hypo-response once the threat to the commodity has passed.

It also may be unique in that the stuff in the underground tanks has to pay for the next shipment of stuff.

Could be a money grab.

All I know is, that there is no way the trickle down is to the pump that quickly. My guess is that they move the price, not based on what they paid for the fuel but what they anticipate paying for the next load.

That’s an innovative deployment of Apache, but seems like a pretty smart play for this mission set.

There are close to 200 Apaches in the region, and 30mm is extremely cheap compared to interceptors. A standard burst probably runs $1k to $2k.
A single Apache could take out 50+ drones before having to reload.

They can actually deploy Apache Hellfire missiles air-to-air against these slow moving drones too. They cost $100k (still cheap) but can engage targets at 5x the range.

US Apaches have the new Hydra LASER guided missiles too as an option along with the 30mm, Sidewinders, Stingers, and Hellfire rockets. That article says 3 Gulf countries are using their own Apache Longbows too...Saudi, Qatar and UAE i believe.

I think that is exactly how it works. And I think that is how all commodities work. I'll have to watch Trading Places again to brush up on my knowledge of the commodity market.
