if anything, it is state capitalism, not socialism.
Having DoW owning a stake in a critical mineral mine is no biggie. no different than gov owned naval shipyards.
Intel is only one I know that doesnt make sense, but all he did was get a stake in the company rather than a free subsidy. Not that I agree with subsidies, but those are given all the time by all gov levels.
