Iran nuclear program. It is a lie

We can mind our own business and have an American ball sack hanging between our legs too dude. You genuinely come across to me as being sorry you were born American. That’s it.

Having balls and having honor are 2 separate things.

Right now, our govt (not the people) are not honorable.

You need to make a distincton between the two.

I’ll blame them. I’ve never said “North American” which is the damn equivalent. Have you said that? Or just said “American, but sorry!”

Also. Move beyond Mossadegh. Your life would probably be less bitter.

Dude, you’re wasting your time. Yeah we have ****ed up several times throughout our history but Ras blames all the worlds problems on us. He forgives murderous oppressive regimes and thinks they should be left alone to do as they please.

What government is honorable? People generally get the government they deserve.

And this is going to make your damn head explode but I view the honorable thing to do on the Iranian deal debacle is to withdraw. It is hollow and chicken **** and never should have been put in place.

We either a) stay 100% the hell out of it or b) if you put agreements in place then put an agreement in place with reciprocal benefits.

No I’m not going to debate the whole damn thing with you again.

I don’t really care about Ras’s message. He’s entitled to his own opinions just like you and me. The messaging just comes across so anti National across the board. Which hurts his own credibility in my opinion. To each his own though I guess.

And yeah I’ve had a few margaritas tonight. So decided to comment on it.

I'm not Iranian or Jewish, but I bet you $1 million you wouldn't tell Israelis to get over Hitler.

I would argue that the Monguls had the greatest influence over Asia, the ME and Eastern Europe than any empire. The difference between the Monguls and other empires is they generally let the inhabitants of conquered land to keep their culture as long as they pledged allegiance and lived up to that pledge.

Define influence?

Can you point to a persistent culture?

When I was just out of high school I remember having a few Iranian acquaintances thru a common friend. They referred to themselves as “Persian”. Not to profess their culture. To misrepresent their nationality to us dumb Americans. That resonated with me. I’ve never been ashamed of being an American. And I profess it proudly.

If you suddenly found yourself trapped in Iran, would you proclaim "I'm an American"? And yes, I realize the Persian people you knew were here by choice, but given our history with Iran, do you really think it would have been smart for them to go around telling everyone they were Iranian? I love my country, but there are plenty of idiots in America who will hate people for a plethora of stupid reasons, where said people are from being one of them. Imagine living in fear because someone might hate you, not for who you are, but simply for where you're from.

Why do you have to be a 100% genetic match to claim a culture? Not sure I understand that. Slice, if we dig into your past and find a couple of non-Jewish relations, does that mean you can no longer claim to be Jewish? Not trying to be argumentative or hurtful, but I just don't see your argument. Most people in today's world probably have ancient relatives in a multitude of cultures. Personally, and just being honest, I've never limited myself to being defined by culture. Not sure who my ancestors are or where they came from. Not going to say I've never been curious, because I have, but even finding out such information, it doesn't change who I am. I define myself. **** anyone else who tries. JMO.

When I asked them where they were from the said “Persia”. I said “ you mean Iran?” They said “yeah but we don’t say that in America”. Again that just resonated with me. They were hiding their nationality.

I’m familiar with Zoroastrianism as an ancient monotheistic religion and belief structure. I cannot say I have ever seen it referenced to current day Iran in any context but do understand it’s connection to ancient Persia.

Im not just trying to dump on Iran. What we call America has only been around for about 250 years.

But I honestly see nothing in modern day Iran that significantly connects with the ancient Persian Empire.

My avatar is literally a Zoroastrian symbol and it is fairly common in Iran.

Just had a thought, I may need to apologize for a bit of hypocrisy. Though I try never to hate someone for where they are from, I do have one weakness. I really, really dislike people from Alabama. I cannot seem to overcome that particular prejudice. lol

Like the Sikhs that got harassed after 911, for example.

I actually did ancestry.com

I am...

65% Caucasus (Turkish, Azerbaijani, Armenia, Iran) *Obviously the bulk of this is probably from Iran*
19% Middle Eastern (basically all the Arab countries)
13% Indian/Paki
2% Italian/Greek
1% Mali

I might not be purely indo European or whatever, but that doesn’t make me not a descendant from ancient Iranians. Yeah I probably have little Arab and Indian in me, but we don’t live in a world where people are one of one ethnicity only. Iranians are a group of people who have lived in what is now modern day Iran for thousands of centuries.

Cyrus the Greats tomb and the ancient city of Persepolis is an hour and a half outside of the city (Shiraz) my dad group up in. If we can’t associate ourselves with them, who the **** can.

Unfortunately, we have a few amongst us that believe in some type of racial hierarchy or purity.

I’m not claiming to be anything other than mud blood Jewish. (Jewish from my great grandfather on my dads side.
You’ve never seen me claim the Jews should be in Israel because they were there 2000 years ago. Someone else was there first. But on the other hand any claim the Jews have made about their heritage has been backed up by it actually being their heritage.
If you claim that the United States has thousands of years history culture and heritage just because we live here now you’d be just as wrong as those claiming the same for the Iranians

Two totally different circumstances, slice, and you know it. The indigenous population here were uprooted from their lands and nearly wiped out, with very little intermingling among the new settlers.

The indigenous people of Iran didn't have anywhere near the same type of destruction.

Again, why do you have to crap on Iranian culture just to prop up your own?

Hey wheezy have you been to Stone Mountain. They have evidence there that the culture of the United States goes back 120000 years.
