Interesting Stat On Jalen Hurd

Yes, go watch the UT Bama game, and count the number of times you see UT with a fullback on the field, and I'm not talking about Hurd in a one back set. Or just watch UT play next week at Kentucky. Btw, who is Clark?

Now that we're using the blue font for sarcasm, we need to establish a font for those that completely miss the point of a post.

No ... It's still not very good.

Here's some revealing stats for this season thus far:

Run-blocking stats:

Standard Downs Line Yards per Carry: The raw, unadjusted per-carry line yardage for a team on standard downs (first down, second-and-7 or fewer, third-and-4 or fewer, fourth-and-4 or fewer). We rank #67
•Passing Downs Line Yards per Carry: The same unadjusted averages for rushing on passing downs. We rank #92
•Opportunity Rate: The percentage of carries (when five yards are available) that gain at least five yards, i.e. the percentage of carries in which the line does its job, so to speak. We rank #58
•Power Success Rate: This is the same as on the pro side -- percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. We rank #107
•Stuff Rate: Same as STUFFED on the pro side -- percentage of carries by running backs that are stopped at or before the line of scrimmage. We rank #105
Pass-blocking stats:
•Adjusted Sack Rate: An opponent-adjusted version of a team's sack rate -- sacks divided by (sacks plus passes), presented on a scale in which 100 is perfectly average, above 100 is good, below 100 is bad. We rank #105
•Standard Downs Sack Rate: Unadjusted sack rate for standard downs pass attempts. We rank #80
•Passing Downs Sack Rate: Unadjusted sack rate for passing downs pass attempts. We rank #118

They're not all 18 year old boys....Crowder turns 22 next month. Jackson is a redshirt junior and is 22. Jacob Gilliam's a redshirt senior and he's 22. Kyler Kerbyson is a redshirt junior and 21 years old. Only Robertson and Thomas are 18 year old kids.

You should get your facts straight before getting on here and calling guys out, no matter what the "morale" of the story is.
Oh, yes, of course, Boss, I was wrong, Boss. So sorry, Boss. Forgot you were the ball boy for the vols. Boy, when a true Vol fan tries to defend our boys, you NEGAVOLS come out of the woodwork like cockroaches. SMH.

Listen you kids, it's not so much the line. If I'm a defensive coordinator playing against UT with Worley as QB, I'm going to constantly blitz one or all LB's. That's what happens when you're 1 dimensional, boys. Now addressing our O-line: We're talking about 18 yr old boys playing against 21-22 yr olds, with 3-4 years in an AWESOME weight training program. Do the math, spuds. I PROMISE you, if you were in our boys shoes, you'd get spanked, too. Morale of the story: GET OFF THEIR ASSES, time and training will cure this next year. Now get your momma's to fix you a bowl of fruity pebbles, and get in there and watch you some sponge bob! Clowns.... SMH

Dude, I'm not remotely a Negavol. Just don't take kindly to somebody, you, coming on here talking ish to everybody when the main point that you were making was completely wrong. True fan....lol!

Those darned stats don't swallow hype.

But seriously, behind this line, Jalen has had little success breaking open.
