The more I think about it, the more I am glad they're gone. What the hell did they accomplish while here? Three of our losses were to lesser opponents, one to a team that we're probably on par with. If he was such an awesome coach, we would have had more wins. The only thing they were good at was recruiting, but its not like we were bad at that before. I think we got a much better deal, and USC just made a huge mistake.
Having said that, I still hate the man because I hate dishonest people and narcissists, which he is both. I hope he fails at everything he does... and I hope USC likes losing to UCLA despite having superior talent, because Kiffin has proven he is capable of that.
Coaches move on, get fired or simply retire. Case in point, there were 22 new coaches appointed this year, with more changes expected to come. What am I getting at? Kids should enroll at SCHOOLS that they want to play for, not the Coaches who recruit them. That way, you can never be disappointed..or start riots, burn mattresses, or create Facebook pages dedicated to the coach who disappointed you..
What that scholarship does not promise, is that Kiffin will be their coach during their entire tenure, nor does it promise them a better chance a to reach the NFL.
P.S. we all know he left because the Pac 10 is weak sauce compared to the SEC and he can concievably win 10 games next year easy, his only competition will be Oregon and Stanford...... good luck luring Chow back as well![]()
wow...a few months ago..we were all cool..now because of Lane...USC is the enemy...here is a question..What did USC or it's fans(not Lane ) Do to Tennessee..?
We know that...but as it applies to Bray's family moving...it had a lot to do with wanting to be able to watch their son's play. It would be too hard to do, flying out to watch Bray and catch their other son's HS game in CA. The coaching staff thing is usually just a tipping point, when you have schools that are equally appealing.Ok Kiffin offered the kids a scholarship to Tennessee. What that scholarship guarantees is two things…Free education, and the privilege to play football for the Volunteer program. Those two promises will be fulfilled no matter who the coach is. What that scholarship does not promise, is that Kiffin will be their coach during their entire tenure, nor does it promise them a better chance a to reach the NFL. So it bothers me to hear about parents moving all the way to Tennessee because their kid is enrolled there. That’s just plain foolish. In today’s college football atmosphere, playing for a long term head coach should not be expected.
