Incompetent from top to bottom

Do you like what Pruitt has done and our you a supporter of the Haslem’s involvement with the University of Tennessee?

The Haslam's have donated to UT since before I was born. Big Jim and Natalie are wonderful people. Big Jim played for Gen. Neyland. To think they want nothing but the best for UT is just out right nuts! I don't know Jimmy but I knew his wife Dee's brother very well.

When Pruitt was hired, just like Butch, fans focused on the championships....the Butch one's were a headscratcher but Pruitt's resume was solid. Although I pointed out to some friends that when Auburn's O left the field in '13 they were ahead just like Bama's O was ahead when they left the field in '16. No one wants to hear that. UT loves to fall in love with the HC. I like Pruitt. I hope he figures this out but the last 2 weeks leave something to be desired.

True true
Or maybe things weren’t really that good to begin with and people shouldn’t have gotten as carried away as they did with an 8-game win streak over mediocre competition
That is true. I just can’t get from everything starting to turn a corner to burning mattresses again. Will make a decision next year, I just think this is a weird year and not going all in either way yet.

Funny how when UT loses a couple of games and all of a sudden the HC is an idiot & all of a sudden it's the Haslam's fault. VN gonna VN!
The Haslams forced Currie and Schiano on us and the resulting fallout from all that is why we ended up with a bottom of the barrel list of candidates.

For every millionaire, there are 100s of destitute coaches. You have to pay your dues, sometimes for many years, making next to nothing. I met James Franklin when he was at Vandy and in his early stints, he had to sleep in his car and use the locker room showers.

Wow. Not a good idea at his current position.

Former head football coach and current Athletic Director Phillip Fulmer got a $6 million buyout when he was fired in 2008, according to ESPN.

In 2011, men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl walked away with nearly $1 million.

Just a few months later, Athletic Director Mike Hamilton resigned, but was still paid a $1.3 million buyout.

Football coach Derek Dooley was fired in 2012, and UT just finished paying his $5 million buyout last year.

Chancellor Jimmy Cheek resigned in 2016, and now holds a role in the College of Education Health and Human Sciences. He earns $340,650 per year, 75 percent of his chancellor's salary.

Butch Jones was fired as head football coach in November 2017, and will receive an $8.2 million buyout.

Athletic Director John Currie was placed on administrative leave with pay on December 1, 2017, after just eight months on the job. He's receiving a $2.2 million buyout.

On Wednesday, the university announced the firing of Chancellor Beverly Davenport effective July 1. She will become a faculty member of the College of Communication & Information, and will earn $438,750 per year — 75 percent of her chancellor's salary — for the next four years. After four years, Davenport's salary will be adjusted to the average base salary of faculty members in the department.

Over 24 million in payoffs which does not include buyouts of assistant coaches. Add another $840k for the recent firing.

UT has established a level of incompetence that is second to none. This is not just one mistake but a series of mistakes that has brought the FB program to its knees.

Is UT football run by the DNC, it certainly appears that way

Great post Hacksaw. Very enlightening information. UT is a poster child for corruption, and malfeasance. No company in the corporate world would have survived half of those boneheaded decisions.

except maybe General Motors...but wait......

Bingo! I even said as much, weeks ago. I said as long as #2 is our QB, the ceiling for this team is very low.
