I'm pulling for Auburn.

How many of you are drinking the Kool Aid around here? I was yelling as loud as I could during the Florida game up until the second half. Don't question my loyalty to the program as a whole. Here's some stats for you all to ponder upon.

Fulmer's 14-13 in his last 27 SEC games. And this decade, the Vols are just 1-8 at home against Top 10 teams and 17-23 against all nationally ranked teams.

And YOU want to stay with the guy? Give me a break. I've been reading this forum for the past two years---don't judge me by my post amount.
nobody wants to stay with the guy and we're well aware of the statistics.

Just so happens that many appear to think you a corksucker for rooting against the Vols in any way shape or form.

I'm never going to cheer for my team to lose...sorry, that's not how I do things. That's a fan that doesn't care about this program. If we lose this next game, I'll cheer for the Vols just the same in the next game. If it means Fulmer's job, then that will come. It just disgusts me when our supposed fans cheer for us to lose...and don't give me that crap about Fulmer and mediocrity. If this program doesn't get the job done this season then we should make a change, but I'll be damned if I cheer for us to lose. That's weak, and you "fans" deserve to be grilled worse than fulmer.

To success, regardless of who the coach is.

As I've said in the past, it may be time for a change but the man does not deserve this.

He deserves our respect and gratitude for what he has done for UT football. Phillip Fulmer is loyal to a fault and his own success is his own worst enemy.

Don't say everybody is in favor of CPF leaving. They're not. The Kool Aid stopped tasting good in 2004.

I hate to use cliches, but let's think outside the box for a second here guys. Do you want Fulmer gone? If WE continue to have 8-5 seasons then Fulmer WILL STAY at the program and continue to make 2 million a year with mediocrity. Do you want your tax dollars going to pay for this kind of mediocrity? I don't.

Three secc's in the 80's and a miraculous sugar bowl win.

Definite mediocrity in the late 80's... JM was bringing us out of mediocrity. Fulmer rode the wave of talent

You really are clueless. Notice the seasons prior to and after a 9+ winning season before 1989:

1977 4-7

1978 5-5-1

1979 7-5

1980 5-6

1981 8-4

1982 6-5-1

1983 9-3

1984 7-4-1

1985 9-1-2

1986 7-5

1987 10-2-1

1988 5-6

1989 11-1

1990 9-2-2

1991 9-3

In 15.5 years he went to the Sugar Bowl twice and the fiesta Bowl once. Won the SEC in 85, tied for it in 89 and won it again in 90.

His highest ranking was 4th in 1985.

We were in the polls only six times at the end of the year.

We had four seasons with five or less wins, A six win season, three seven win seasons, one eight win season, four nine win seasons, one ten win season and one eleven win season.

Now that is a power house elite football team. Yeah right.

Tax dollars pay for exactly 0.00000% of fulmer and co's salary

wonder where we would all be now if our founding fathers had said "America, hell, we weren't even a country last month."

I would never openly root against the Vols, but I cant say that I wouldnt understand why some would decide to do that. It seems the administration has "forced" the fans into accepting mediocrity, and thats not acceptable. At least before the automatic rollover, fans had the HOPE that a few mediocre season might force a change. Unfortunately, the higher ups have decided that it merits a raise, and thus have taken away that hope.

Now, instead of hoping for change after a few subpar seasons, fans KNOW that it is acceptable to the administration, and they have come to the realization that the only way a change is going to be made is by way of a complete and utter meltdown.

UT in 100+ years of football has a winning percentage of 70%. But at present an 8-5 season, or 62.5% winning percentage, is cause for a raise. Fans are not OK with the fact that a coach will get a raise and an extension while accomplishing less than the team historically accomplishes.

Not that I agree, but I can see the reasoning.

I keep hearing "I just want to get UT back to what it was". What BS, who the heck do any of you think got us there? Here's a hint it wasn't Bill Battle or Johnny Majors.

Majors turned the program around more than you may realize. his teams weren't on the same level as fulmer's team's in the late 90's but he definitely helped ut come a long way. to say he didn't contribute any to ut's success later on is just plain idiotic.

nobody said they want fulmer to stay, but to root against the team, no matter what the situation, and at the same time say you "bleed orange" is just stupid.

Been a UT fan all my life---graduated from UT with my bachelors---currently attend UT in graduate school.

I'm pulling for Auburn. Why?

Because it HAS to get worse before it gets better. No question.

For me, at this point, the ideal season would be to lose every game except Alabama.

Fulmer won't go unless the **** really hits the fan.

As the old adage goes, if you can heal the symptoms but not affect the cause, then you're doing nothing.

Ok, for all of us here who refuse to root against the Vols for any reason and yet want CPF gone, look at it this way. Cheer your guts out for the Vols today, and when we lose anyway and IMO we will lose, instead of being all depressed for the rest of the weekend you can say well maybe its for the best in the long run. At least it's another nail in the coffin for CPF.:hi:
