I think we can/should do better than a “project” type guy though
That's all this 2027 QB class is. You either swing big for a high-potential guy that will need to sit or take a high floor/low ceiling guy. This QB class is going to have an overwhelming amount of transfers. In the modern age, you hope to get a high floor guy in this class who can be serviceable depth for 2-3 years and hope you can find someone in the next class

How do we know we don't already have an elite QB? Please don't say where they are rated.
Cause Baker has only started 1 (yes 1) game in his entire hs career and most of his highlights are camp highlights-those never translate on the field

And that means he's not a possible elite QB why? The coaches worked him out and offered, seems they are happy.

I mean he has yet to have a season under his belt, 7on7 qbs and camp qbs never work out (see jg, nico, jackson)

JG wasn’t a camp phenom. He had 1 good game against IMG that hyped him.

Nico helped lead us to our only Playoff appearance with 3,000 total yards and 21 TDs as a freshman.

Taven Jackson ran a run-oriented offense in HS.
What are you talking about 7 on 7 QBs don’t do well??
Most QBs these are days are “7 on 7” QBs…
