I don't support Dooley, know nothing about him. If he becomes UT's coach I WILL support him, because then I'll know everything I need to know...He's Tennessee's coach.

He apparently said yes when a lot of others said no and our previous coach proved to be the biggest punk in all of football. For that, I'm going to give him my full support and hope he turns into something great. Give 'em Hell Dooley!

This is a good hire. I have a very good feeling about this guy. He brought in top recruiting classes at LSU....he can recruit, wait and see. He will not be intimiated by anyone.....I think it is a good hire. :clapping:

I for one support this decision. I don't understand why everybody says this is a bad hire. Was Lane Kiffin a good hire going off his record? Hell no.

Did you know he is the son of of legendary University of Georgia head football coach and athletic director Vince Dooley?

Did you know he was the recruiting coordinator for Nick Saban at LSU, which landed 2 number 1 classes in his time.

Everybody around here seems to hate Saban, but will admit he is an awesome coach! Well if Nick Saban likes this guy enough to have him on his staff (LSU to Miami) for 6 years then he's good enough for me.

I just wanted to start this thread so when he proves all of you nay sayers wrong we can look back at who supported this hire!

Glad u have decided to tell a season ticket holder for 40 years like myself where I can go and that I need to get out. My opinion is just as valuable as yours.

In fact you have probably sat in seats that my family has paid for so dont u dare tell me that I cant voice my opinion here you PR#@%/ ...

I think this hire SUCKs and I also think Phil Fulmer has done as much as anyone to distroy this program and furthermore your AD is the reason we are going thru this mess for hiring previous inexperienced child before this one.

I'm sure willing to give him a fair shake.... He wasn't my first (or second, or third....) choice but he's our coach now. Remember.... Pete Carroll wasn't USC's first (or second, or third....) choice either. Give it a couple of years and we'll know for sure. One thing I DO know.... If we as fans treat him like crap coming IN the door and he DOES turn out to be a great coach, He'll definitely return the favor going OUT the door for a "better" job....

Just please remember what kind of an offensive line this guy is inheriting. This is the FIRST year of a new regime...not the second.

Whoever ends up being the Coach at Tennessee has my support. I like what I see so far about Dooley, character, intelligence, agressiveness...the SEC is tough, he will need a good supporting staff, as any coach does. Welcome Coach Dooley to the Tennessee Family.

You have to consider the timing, etc. If this guy can put together a breathtaking, star-studded, recruiting oriented staff while keeping the core of what we have together, he could change not being a bad hire to being a very good, maybe even great hire. Regardless, if this is who we get, I will support him until he proves he can't do the job.
