We don't stop the run or pass....not a good combination. Simpson play action and rolling out will give us fits.

Despite that, Heupel has us at 5-1. Heupel isn't the problem at all, we need to be patient with him. He represents University well.

This team can be a little rough and hard to watch at times, I feel it. The 3rd and long pass play give ups.on defenses or the atrocious time penalties at key points on offense make you want to turn the game off.

Your definition of "not very good" is suspect...There isn't 10 teams in the country better than us...we are a playoff caliber team easily

I agree, He has done good, but to be a championship coach he has to get the killer instinct, which he does not have. When you are up on a team keep pouring it on doing the same type of offense that got you the lead, but he always slows down the offense when playing a quality team and gives them a chance to get back in the game.

I don’t disagree, but I think “ playoff team” is thrown around a bit liberally. We saw last year that there is a huge difference in a championship team and a “playoff team”. There are already to many seeds and we’re staring down the barrell of expansion which is unneeded.

I’m not interested in being a “playoff team” that gets thumped by a championship team every year. I prefer to be true contender.

I agree, however, Ohio State was imo a much better team than usual for a championship team. We were not the only team they beat real bad in the playoffs

I think Mark was doing things the right way, You will see teams such as Ga. Bama drop off as we already have, since nil, and transfer portal, more of a level playing field. Where would we be this year without the transfer portal

If it had been seeded correctly (like this season will be), Tennessee would've beaten SMU at Neyland in first round then had a shot against UGA at a neutral site...

They wouldn't have won the NC probably but it would've looked a lot differently

If we don't pressure the qb without having to blitz, and it is apparant we can't stop the run it will get ugly. We usually do not play well on the road for some reason.

If we are going to face facts, we need to admit that​

1. Our beloved 5* QB left the Vols just prior to Spring practice to selfishly improve his chances of making more money in the NIL
2. The Vols were left with NO QBs with any real game time experience - esp in the SEC
3. The Vols coaching staff, which btw includes our Head Coach Josh Heupel, somehow and miraculously convinced Joey A to come to Knoxville to hopefully save our season
4. Joey A. currently has passed for 1,680 yards, 14 Touchdowns and 5 Int's
5. The Vols are currently 5-1, 2-1
6. Coach Heupel didn't miss the field goal attempt. We would be 6-0 and in the Top 5 if we made that kick
7. We have had injuries on almost every series in every game. Never seen anything like it.

Therefore, your deductive reasoning for CJH to not be of championship caliber, is as worthless as a Bobby Petrino motorcycle excuse. Stick to your day job, please
