We don't stop the run or pass....not a good combination. Simpson play action and rolling out will give us fits.I never thought I would ever say that I dread playing Alabama next week, at Alabama. If we cannot slow down the run game against Arky, perhaps we need to stay home next week.
His posting history indicates what he is... he's been this way for a long time and never posts positive anything...but still ridiculous takes all aroundI don't respond to this NegaVol troll. IF in fact he actually is a UT fan then he is the most insufferable miserable bastard in our fanbase. He does post the exact same drivel every week. His post history is nothing but crapping on the team or whining about this or that. The only correct take he has ever had was when he chose his screen name. Misery loves company though...
Your definition of "not very good" is suspect...There isn't 10 teams in the country better than us...we are a playoff caliber team easilyWe have to admit that 2025 Tennessee is not very good despite how great Aguilar has been. Defense just doesn't show up consistently and running game hasn't been very strong.
Despite that, Heupel has us at 5-1. Heupel isn't the problem at all, we need to be patient with him. He represents University well.
This team can be a little rough and hard to watch at times, I feel it. The 3rd and long pass play give ups.on defenses or the atrocious time penalties at key points on offense make you want to turn the game off.
He’s the one responsible for coaching all of said things….Heupel is a championship coach in hand cuffs. Until our DB's learn to look back for the ball we will never take the step next level. What was it yesterday 7 false starts? and we're halfway thru the season. Our high school team had 2 in 2 games geez!
I agree, He has done good, but to be a championship coach he has to get the killer instinct, which he does not have. When you are up on a team keep pouring it on doing the same type of offense that got you the lead, but he always slows down the offense when playing a quality team and gives them a chance to get back in the game.Heupel is not a championship coach. He’s much better than anyone we have had since Kiffin and deserves respect and job security for what he has done so far. Let’s do the damned thing
I don’t disagree, but I think “ playoff team” is thrown around a bit liberally. We saw last year that there is a huge difference in a championship team and a “playoff team”. There are already to many seeds and we’re staring down the barrell of expansion which is unneeded.Your definition of "not very good" is suspect...There isn't 10 teams in the country better than us...we are a playoff caliber team easily
like Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Penn St, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan?I don’t disagree, but I think “ playoff team” is thrown around a bit liberally. I’m not interested in being a “playoff team” that gets thumped by a championship team every year. I prefer to be true contender.
I agree, however, Ohio State was imo a much better team than usual for a championship team. We were not the only team they beat real bad in the playoffsI don’t disagree, but I think “ playoff team” is thrown around a bit liberally. I think Mark was doing things the right way, You will see teams such as Ga. Bama drop off as we already have, since nil, and transfer portal, more of a level playing field. Where would we be this year without the transfer portalHe did. 2002 and 2005 iirc. I was looking at it from a playoff perspective though.
If it had been seeded correctly (like this season will be), Tennessee would've beaten SMU at Neyland in first round then had a shot against UGA at a neutral site...I agree, however, Ohio State was imo a much better team than usual for a championship team. We were not the only team they beat real bad in the playoffs
If we don't pressure the qb without having to blitz, and it is apparant we can't stop the run it will get ugly. We usually do not play well on the road for some reason. We don't stop the run or pass....not a good combination. Simpson play action and rolling out will give us fits.
Don't know what your board name means but I was at Reelfoot lake last weekend.
