I have, at times, considered a VIP membership for those who have asked those same questions. In that case, there could be a premium forum for those who wish to use it and for everyone else, things remain the same.
do you think the trolls would still come on here. In the past there was the occasional troll that you learned to ignore, but since this latest fiasco, it seems there are more than ever. I personally would rather pay than have to listen and sort through all their garbage. What do you guys think.

Making it a pay site to keep trolls away would make it seem like we're embarrassed of being Vols fans.....and last I checked even a 5-7 season won't make me box up my UT apparel and start hiding in a bomb shelter from the onslaught of the mighty Gators or Crimson Tide.
Any fans of those schools that think it's just totally impossible for us to make it back into the national spotlight and routinely whipping them on a yearly basis is fooling themselves. So while they like to come here and think they're ruining my day by calling our coach an idiot, or whining about losing a recruit to us, they aren't affecting my day at all.
And it shouldn't do anything to anyone else either.
I, for one, certainly think that UT will be back. Where I seem to find myself in disagreement with my good friends here at Volnation is timeframe.
Under no reasonably conceivable set of circumstances do I see UT being nationally competitive in the 2009 season. Chances of doing so are negligibly better in 2010, but that's more a function of the likely fall off at Florida that year than anything else, and the problem even with that is that it seems today that other SEC teams are likely going to have improved from '09 to '10.
2011 seems to me the most likely season to be looking to for national stature for UT. There are some on here who seem convinced that you are already there, which is a great rah rah sentiment, but seems irrational to me.
As bad as I hate to admit this, I actually agree with you.
I see possibly an 8 win season next year, but 7-5 wouldn't really surprise me. All new coaching staffs need time. 7-5 and a bowl win actually would be an improvement after last years debacle.
