If we beat South Carolina, it proves that a blind squirrel can stumble upon a nut from time to time. In case you are bad with analogies, Dooley is the blind squirrel.

1. We finally beat a ranked team under Dooley.
2. Momentum for the rest of the season.
3. It shuts up a huge amount of people who doubt us and want us to lose (fans included which I will never understand).
4. We beat "the ole visor".
5. It's a freaking win! Maybe we can hope for more than extra practices or a music city bowl. I miss that.

Don't LIE on here man because that won't get you anywhere.

Our player roster was so bad off when CDD got here that he couldn't run off the worst player we had even if he wanted to because we barely had enough players to field a team and play a game.

That's why CDD had to start so many Freshmen and Sophs evcen if they weren't very good and hadn't learned all the playbook yet.

It took CDD 2 years just to get close to having all our schollies filled and to at least have numbers back up close to where they should be much less to have 40 to 50 or more future NFL players on the roster like all the top SEC teams already had.

It was laMe kiffScum that ran off 20 or so schollie players, NOT CDD.

Many of the players that laMe ran off are now good players at other schools and could have been Vol starters or very good backups for our 2 deep rotation so we don't tire out so easily in the 2nd half.

You can hate CDD all you want but don't post total lies about the guy because you will get called out for that crap around here.

While its still not the season I hoped for , its pretty good and it will get Dooley a fourth year, like it or not. Probably not going to happen , but if it does, congrats to the team and to Dools. By the way recruiting would benefit greatly due to a 6 game winning streak to finish the season.

If we finish 9-4 I think the "Dooley haters" will back off. I think the biggest problem right now is not that we have lost to the teams we have, but that we haven't shown the ability to beat the teams we could have.

I think coaches need "Ricky Williams" contracts, the more wins , the more money, big wins=BIG MONEY, BCS wins= BIGGER MONEY , NC = set for life!! Sounds good huh
Btw , losses=no money , simple, yet my 6 year old niece understands!

If we win, CDD will be missing MH to the core coz MH would have given a 3 year contract extension... just goin by the past....

a win saves dooley unless we lose 1 of the final 4. But if all the Gruden talk is true(very skeptical) then Dooley has already been informed and this game doesn't matter to Dooley. On the sideline last week Dooley looked as if he had already been fired.

Well, that got a little heated. At least no one got impaled by a trident.

If there are down sides to a win, I think they are dwarfed by getting a W today. Winning is the point.

I am all Vol and all in for the big orange.

One of the dumber analogies of recorded history. And used repeatedly (which says something about the general population). A squirrel or any blind animal can't depend on findind 1 nut by "blind" luck and survive. He would need to eat consistently to stay alive. And if he didn't, he would starve and die. Which is the fate I propose for this "analogy", which is analogous to nothing.

I would like to know what you all think. I don't want to say it is a make or break game, but if UT wins...does it really make the season?

Maybe this win will turn everything around or at least start the program in positive direction.

Like people say on the forum all the time, winning fixes everything.

Shutting up the stupid negative fans. Of course, that will never happen. We had them in the mid 1990s when we had the second best run of football in the team's history. Good thing we did not have the "now" generation back in the late 1930s or we would have never had another decent football team. The problems which have developed in our society during the last 20-30 years has really spilled over into sports as well. I can only imagine what it is going to be like 30 years from now. With this generation of ungrateful individuals , I fear our future is in for tragic events caused by our self-serving population. We reap what we sew and we will deserve what we earn.
