Hopefully they don't figure out their defensive rushing problems before they play us. I'm feeling close to 300 yards rushing on their defense.

The players will no doubt have a better understanding of the new system theyre in as the year goes on (both offensively and defensively). So yes, after a couple of games with real live action, I would definitely think we will get better as the season goes even if it is a relatively short one.. Especially our young secondary.

You might be on to something there. I think CJP should start a new tradition. Every time we beat a long time rival we get the opposing coach to sign the game ball and then we place those in a trophy case called....our signature wins :p

i still don't understand the craziness I read on this site. there were ppl who actually and truly believed that we were going to go out there and slaughter wvu. blows my mind....If you didn't anticipate a rough year, then you don't understand and how much time goes into this sport. new schemes, new leaders, new plays, new roles, new tempos, new formations, new play calling systems, new personnel, new practice routines, new workouts. it takes time. lots of time. we're going to get killed and we're lose some heartbreakers. it very well could be another 4-8 season. that's just the nature of the rebuilding beast. Pruitt is a first year hc is inheriting a car crash from a phony that inherited a cluster fudge. this season and maybe next might not be for the weak at heart. I'm hoping we're gonna be like uga. that turn around was quick and they are a tough, good, talented football team. I think the recruiting class where it is (coming off the worst season in history) is an indicator that things are going in the right direction. I proud myself on being a realist, not a dreamer.

All I have to say is UF should be a winnable game despite not being a good football team right now.

They look just as bad as we do.

But I don’t think it’s the end of the world if we do lose.

6-6 would be outstanding with this brutal schedule.

It's what we do here. Everyone likes to make these insane predictions, and then, if by some twist of fate they're close, they come back with the I told you so bs. If not then they're buried about 20 pages back.

that was kind of my point. Beating UF now (as it has been for the last 5 years) should be simple. If we cant do that, we probably shouldnt expect them to beat anyone in the SEC.

I agree with most. At this point i do not seeing us being favored in any Conference game.

whenever someone says "You never know what could happen" in reference to UT, it results in a very very embarrassing situation on national TV about 99% of the time. Like a 4th and long game winning TD given up by the defense kind of thing.

....and in b4 someone brings up "hail mary to beat UGA"

Beating Florida this year is like the first time UT beat USC jr under Lyle. Everybody lined up to sniff his jock strap because we be a traditionally terrible team that we should beat every year. It was dumb then and will be dumb now. Those were the days when only a few of us could see through Lyle's crap.

News flash, Teddy Roosevelt just tied a dead aligator to a tree and asked UT to shoot it. It litereally cant get any easier than it is now. And I find myself saying that every single year, but it keeps getting easier and easier.
