If Tennessee Leaves Nike Question

I know Jordan brand is associated with Nike but it’d be interesting to see UT with the Jordan logo. Michigan won a 💍 and UF unfortunately won in hoops this year. I’m not saying us switching to Jordan will mean we win a 💍 but could it really hurt lol

Not a lot of difference in the 2 companies. Both are making their apparel with child labor in China. They make just enough in VN and Cambodia to be able to say they do it there. The majority of Adidas factories are in China. There’s no moral high ground for either company. They’re both guilty of using slave labor with horrendous working conditions.

If you’re going to pick nits, you might as well go with the one who gets the most of their slave labor so they can give us the best deal. It is what it is.
Wish New Balance would get into the game more. I only buy Made in USA sneakers from them. They last forever, are light on your feet, and are often less expensive like these—

I really hope they keep Nike, adidas was so ugly and looked cheap. Recruits also like the different and cleaner looking uniforms that Nike offers.
That’s the problem, you’re living in a world from ten years ago. Adidas got rid of the tire track uniforms a long time ago and they look better now. Miami’s uniforms look really clean.

Not even close to our black or grey ones. Or the OG orange.

I agree. I love their shoes, especially ultraboost, but I have a few different shirts from the last Tennessee adidas era and I swear they all fit different and are different shades of orange. I’m not a big fashion guy, but adidas just can’t seem to get the orange correct.

I don't buy or own any Nike merchandise. Burn them. I'm still boycotting Nike from way back. Why? Because I can.
I used to be that way until 2015. I love Tennessee more than my principles. Hope we go back to Adidas if they make the right offer.

You seriously don’t think DW will sit on whoever we go with? Let them have to trash noncompliant lines and they will get it right. That is the importance of DISCUSSED design control by UT. There is a new sheriff in town. You will not tarnish our brand on his watch.

BTW, did the clothing change colors after you paid for it?

Fair enough. If it happens then I hope they keep the company on the straight and narrow. The last part of your post—I have no idea what that’s even supposed to mean.

I really hope we don't switch, I actually like all our uniforms for once. Adidas was all over the place. The only thing I would change for the football uniforms is the numbers bigger. The basketball uniforms are perfection, other than I guess the black one but for a black one it's good enough and they kept it simple. I like pretty much all the baseball uniforms and softball unfiorms. Honestly the only ones I'd change is the women's basketball because imo they need a more throwback look like the men got. They still use that original Nike template kinda and it looks a bit out of place now imo.
As far as baseball, don't care for that grey we wore yesterday against Vandy.

If Tennessee switches from Nike to Adidas, do stores have to sell all their Nike merchandise by a certain date or can they continue to sell what they have left of Vols Nike gear after Adidas products are in the market? Just wondering if there might be some big discount Vols sales in the near future?
Just a guess: Depending on how "official" the store is? At some point, yes, the Nike gear will be cleared. But the old stuff may be sold heavily at your local flea market. Just a matter of finding it.

We should leave Nike just for those black basketball jerseys. They were awful.
Yeah adidas basketball unis are sweet. Maybe we could get some black jerseys like Louisville’s last season, but put the adidas worthy Smokey Dog logo instead of a Power T

I think he means you didn't have to buy it if the orange wasn't right.

Got it. Often times you can’t tell until you get it home and see that you have three different Adidas shirts and none of them are the same. I think that Adidas shoes are better, but as far as apparel, Nike is the better product. Most division 1 schools seem to agree. Also, it’s not difficult for adidas to master burgundy or black, but we have probably the most unique color scheme in the country and given their past efforts, I just don’t know if it will be up to snuff. But it’s just my opinion.
