@zydane47
We have a top 5 paid salary staff in the country.
Money wasn’t the issue. It was our roster & the dumpster fire that we in our fan revolution & Currie caused that scared any coach of proven quality away.
We are where we are & if you want to continue to demand unrealistic expectations immediately despite where we were in December of 2017 that’s fine and your right.
I’m just telling you brother, your not looking at the whole picture here & seeing how bad some of our players “older guys” attitudes & abilities are.
Pruitt has only had one recruiting class and he knocked it out of the park, he needs time and support.
Listen "brother" you're not looking at the big picture here. You can have the best staff in the world, but if the leader ain't worth a damn it won't matter. While we might have a top 5 paid staff in the country, that only happened just this recently when we got Chaney and Ansley and they pushed their salaries over 1 million annually. You can't get a top head coach, and that's what we're all talking about here a top head coach with just $3.8 Million a year salary. For a top coach we should be spending close to $5 Million,
but I forget we don't have that kind of money.
Let's also do away with the no talent narrative. Our last 5 classes they were ranked, 7,4,14,17,21. All top 25 classes, well above everyone in the East EXCEPT Florida and Georgia.
As far as a composite of the whole team we're 15th, behind only Georgia in our division. Also looking at that and looking at the past five years, the lowest we were compositely was 15, which happened this year and last year the highest we got was 12, back in 2015 and 2017, do you know who we were ahead of both those years? Every team in the east EXCEPT Georgia.
2019 College Football Team Talent Composite
Now that we've settled that part of "no talent" let's move on to your next point.
So players have "bad attitudes" and who is it that's in charge of getting those players to buy in? Well my word it's the head coach. It would appear Pruitt can't get through to some of these guys and instead of doing what most coaches would do and bench those guys to let younger players get experience he doesn't, so idk what he's up to.
I've also seen multiple coaches this year go in and start winning with another coaches players and not have the issues we're seeing. Shoot Herm Edwards didn't even hire his own staff, he just took over the one there and they're 3-1, with a win over #18 Michigan State. Yet our head coach in his second year with a majority of the players on the roster "his guys" can't beat Georgia State and BYU who btw we recruited well above them.
So what it looks like is we have a horrible head coach and an overpaid staff. Cause for what we're paying the staff we're not seeing any results.
As far as unrealistic expectations, which is the dumbest argument of all, I don't think anyone on here expected us to win the East, I don't even know how many expected us to finish better than fourth. What I can tell you is that many of us expected to at the very least be 3-1 right now, with a good chance at a bowl game. Which btw a lot of national media members picked this team to go to a bowl. Now I don't know what you expected, but if you expected to be 1-3 at this point and time then you need to go play the lotto.
Stop trying to put all the blame on the fans, cause that's all your points are, pointing back to the "fans and their unrealistic expectations".
