If.......if......then

My point is when he was at UT some of the same people bashing other coaches were defending him. And the Lexus dealership sued him. Do your own research. There were threads on this site.

Yes, there was a wrecked car. Again, any other verifiable proof?

You do realize that fans tend to make fun of their rivals misfortunes, no?

So by your logic, since UT once hired a scum bag, we shouldn't acknowledge the sh!t show that's erupting in fayetteville? Maybe message boards and SEC football just aren't your thing if this bothers you.

I didn't say it bothered me. If you can read you'd have seen I said I laugh at those who do.
And I said Kiff was much better at cover ups.

id say that's an understatement. Being worth 7-8 figures and being out in the open on a motorcycle with a 25 year old thats not your wife while not wearing a helmet doesn't exactly scream intelligence.

Haha! So true.

Nope - I didn't know he was a weasle. Bet he ends up getting fired over this, and he should. That is not the face any reputable school wants on its program.

I can't wrap my head around anyone completely dismissing the FACT he is an unloyal lying pos adulterer and would still want him to coach our team that they claim to love. At what point did anyone think "yeah I know he did what he did to other teams and to his wife and family, but he wouldn't do that to the university of Tennessee"? Its absurd to be having any sort of discussion about the possibility. Idk about anyone else, but I wouldn't take winning for 3-4 years and then getting screwed over royally over losing in the short term and then being successful in the right way. I'd sit through another couple 5-7 seasons and save the program from the embarrassment Arkansas is dealing with.

Considering I didn't start posting until after that I could tell you whatever I want and you couldn't refute it. First you have to understand that I like basketball but not enough to form strong opinions. I did not feel that what he was fired for was a huge deal, but I did expect him to be fired. I am also not a fan who thinks we would or should ever rehire him. I think bruce got exactly what he deserved to get and if another school wants to take a chance on him that's their business. The whole point isn't if I felt that way about bruce bc bruce was already employed here. Petrino is not employed by the university and it should remain that way.

That's fine. What I don't like is hypocrites. Some on here are bashing other coaches for doing the same stuff Pearl and even Kif did. Sounds like you're not a hypocrite.

Oh yea, this is exactly like Petrinos incident. NOT!

Knoxville Lexus dealer confirms crash involving Coach Lane Kiffin

Spokesperson Tiffany Carpenter says Kiffin slid off the road while driving home during fall camp early one August morning.

In fact, Coach Kiffin himself confirmed the crash, if this is the same one, during an interview with Volquest.com.

The coach saying at the time he was headed home after a late practice during fall camp, fell asleep and drifted off the road.

Carpenter says authorities were notified after the crash.

Knox County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Martha Dooley say there are no reports of any accident reports filed by Lane Kiffin in 2009.

Knoxville Police Department spokesperson Darrell DeBusk says there are no reports of any accident reports filed by Kiffin in September or October. He's checking all of 2009.

Lexus of Knoxville says they will have no further comment regarding the situation.

I try not to be. Ill admit I was on the "lane train" at first. I, like many others, was too caught up in the excitement and let some things go unnoticed which was a mistake. It may not be as much hypocrisy and more of we know what its like to be a fan and have a coach do something like what bobby has done and that's what pisses us off. As much as I'd like to say suck it pigs, deep down I feel bad for them cause we've felt the way they do. So I still say suck it pigs, but with empathy.

IF BP is fired at Arkansas

IF DD doesn't get it done this year(I have and will support him believing he will succeed this year)

Then BobbyP will be our coach in 2013 IMO.

I may very well be in the minority but that would be a home run if 2012 isn't a year that warrants DD returning.

It's sad that you want this.

Hey-if Bobby says no, howabout Gregg Williams?

I stated the I believe that DD will succeed but I also am a realist and know that the possibility is he won't.

The only values that matter to me is keeping the program clean with the NCAA and winning. BP does both of those.

Going on joy rides with his little ho trinket is squeeky clean bro.

What NCAA rule did he break having that ho trinket on a joy ride?

As I said winning and staying clean with the ncaa is the only thing that matters. It isn't hard to understand. Not one person can argue BobbyP hasn't won big as a college coach while keeping his programs clean with the NCAA.

You ignore the fact that he leaves post-it resignation letters, midseason, and that he PUBLICLY flirts with other employers while currently employed. There are a ton of sharks in my profession that could probably do wonders for our bottom line, but due to their reputations, a handful of them are considered toxic.

There's more to consider when hiring than simply ability.

I'm not pretending to know what's going to happen to Dooley after this year. I hope it's a extension but. Hiring BP would be the biggest mistake UT has ever made outside of Mike Hamilton. This guy has the worst character of anybody you've ever met I'm sure. Hell no on Bobby Petrino. Dude, don't ever put sports above character. It'll ruin you every time.

Ummm,,boinking a little trinket ho he just hired may not "break" any NCAA rules but it sure goes beyond any other normal business practices. So does lying and so does coverup. If you had a daughter playing volleyball,,,would you want him to coach her? Petrino lacks moral character. We don't need his "coaching abilities" to win at UT. CDD has what it takes to win at UT - he's polishing these young men for life. Petrino is just polishing his own...............

The female in question was a 25 year old women not a girl that was a college student so don't act as if she was a hopeless victim here.

I have been a big supporter of DD and also believe he is the right guy for the job but for me or anybody else to argue that for certain isn't factually based. This year will provide the facts for that argument.

You do realize that their is a big difference between being clean and not being caught yet don't you?

As much sneaking, lying and covering up as Petrino has done in his career.....I'm sure he is not adverse to breaking a few NCAA rules.
