The list looks like this.
1. Hugh Freeze
2. Luke Fickle
3. Jamey Chadwell
4. Bill Clarke
These 4 coaches are currently better than what we currently have and are better than what we have had in last 10-15 years. If Feewze came here he would win 7-10 games his first year with this same roster. Fickle and Chadwell are doing more and I mean a lot more with lesser talent. And Clarke had done an amazing job at UAB after restarting there program from where it was ended. Any of these 4 coaches would not need 4 years and most likely would have better record than Pruitt in same amount of time (3 years).

If we make the right hire and that's a big if, no we wouldn't it shouldn't take more than 2 with significant improvements in year one. Pruitt needs to manage the coach's and let them do their job. If you hired these guys gotta tru6them to do their job if not them make changes but trust them to do it. Lead by example and others will follow

Wow. You and I look at the world through a different lense op. We suck now. My thinking is that why not make the change. Also, you’re just flat wrong. How quickly rebuild (and what we rebuild to) depends entirely who we get as a replacement. Saban went undefeated the second year he was in the job.

At this point I would take Bear Bryant coming out of his grave with a steel chair and whacking Pruitt across the back with it multiple times and telling him, You go tell Saban that if he thinks he's the big dog in the SEC well I got news for him!...Be kinda cool huh?...A Bear Bryant face turn....Yeah I used to watch a lot of wrestling lol

Urban Meyer is the only guy out there that has shown he can do the job, its time to stop taking chances and hire a proven winner to turn this around, Hugh Freeze is a solid hire as well but would prefer a championship winning relevant coach.

Wow Pruitt's family posting on here. Let me help you. He will still soak UT for $21 million if my math is any good. That much for a crappy record and a failing program

Why? If you were a company owner and your General Manager was sinking your business would you keep him while hoping that one or a few of your employees could over shadow your GM’s shortcomings and turn everything around? BTW, your GM still sucks. So what happens when those superstar employees leave? BTW, your GM still sucks.

No, Pruitt needs to go.

I feel like the absence of a competent quarterback has had a much more lasting effect than most people think. When we have a good quarterback, we do a lot better. Look at Dobbs and Bray in recent years (We still sucked overall with Bray, but that was due to a terrible defense). I think that if we gave it another year with Bailey, Shrout, or even Salter when he's onboard the ship, we will do a lot better. I don't think another coaching search that lands us another long-shot coach will do us any good. Knowing Tennessee, we won't go out and get the best coach we can. We'll nab someone cheap with little head-coaching experience or someone who recruits well and develops terribly. It won't be Freeze.
