Idea for coaches to help recruiting

Ok I'm bored at work reading VN. And was thinking if I was a coach what would I do to bond with these kids.
I would learn to play madden on a game console, you know all the kids that play , play madden. I think if you hung out and played madden and beat em. That would be good to establish a connection. Especially if you whooped the recruit. If I was a recruit I'd want to play for a coach that was a cool guy . I'd think that was cool if I was a recruit . Just a thought

I like this idea. Maybe just one game a year against a big rival or something. The black helmets with orange T would be cool.

I think the Madden idea is kinda cool. He could play online with them anytime. Although if Coach Jones spent too much time getting really good at playing Madden, it might take away from his recruiting efforts.

That game gets pretty addictive.

I prefer the Calapari & Saban approach to recruiting. Come here and you will win a bunch of games and play for championships then you will have a chance to play in the pros. Seems to work for those guys

I don't know if it's against the rules but having videos go out to recruits of commits having fun and being amped would be good. Similar to the BJ 1st day vids. Employee some guy full time in just making cool 3 minute videos.

Seems like the up and comer coaches who do well with recruiting do so through some vision. Hell Richt sold that whole dream team pretty successfully a couple years ago. Put vids out lining up with the vision get fans and recruits all jazzed. When you have no recrod it's all about the sales pitch.

Supposedly videos from movie stars and celebs is a big recruiting tool for Scientology. If they can use that to convince people to pay thousands to join a cult surely we can entice some recruits with good marketing.
