It's a new level of stupid to be honest.
8-4 was by far considered to be the most likely scenario for this team when the season started. Then JA plays well and everyone believes this team is magically on par with Ohio State, and anything less than a first round bye in the playoffs is a failure. It's ridiculous. If we get to 10 wins considering the injuries on defense and having a G5 QB come in during the summer with no experience in the system, then I would consider this to be Heup's best performance thus far.
JA playing well has been huge for us. But he's also been much more turnover prone than our previous QBs. We've been fortunate in other games that those turnovers didn't cost us too much. But they finally culminated into game changing turnovers vs both OU and Bama. It is what it is. We wouldn't be 6-3 right now without JA, but 2 of those 3 losses can largely be attributed to JA.
