We sat in the South Field Suites right in the end zone. My 15 yr. old son was called a ***got and told how he sucks 50 times. Then in the second quarter a kid hit him in the head with his pom pom. I got irate and and threatened a couple of them. I wanted to drag one over the wall. then after the game they threw 4 or 5 full cups of soda at the players as they left and right over our heads. We got a coke a cola rain shower. The Bama fans we were with were the nicest people ever, but the student section was animals. It didn't help that Da'Rick was blowing them kisses and Malik was doing some shooting down with a machine gun thing at halftime either...LOL

It's funny how rare these threads are when your team wins. And I'm not simply saying that about Tennessee, the fanbase of every team does it.

Yep, that lady totally deserved it because her team sucks. She should blame Dooley, not the toothless POS that threw the bottle.

I saw a Tennessee fan throw a Jack Daniels bottle at a cheerleader for Kentucky in the early '80s in Knoxville. It hit her forehead and the gash bled badly as she ran from the field. ut fans are the worst.

So bad in fact, that u like to conversate with them regularly on their boards..hmm...get a life troll

I'm sorry, but I fail to see ANY humor in a situation like this.

Well, if we had won the game, we'd all be laughing and joking about her getting her face split open by a liquor bottle according to bamawriter.

That's a shame. The worst I've endured was a lady telling me to shut up when I was singing Rocky Top in '09. My buddies (Bama fans) told the lady she was out of her mind. It's bound to happen with 100k ppl, though.

Well, I was there and didn't have any problems. Got some nasty comments about my orange pants, but most of the Bammers were fine. Some were even nice.

I didn't have any problems. I was pleasantly surprised with the welcome from the Bama Fans. I had a great time this year other than the loss.

LawVol, you're smart enough to know what BamaWriter is saying... Or maybe not. Maybe his intelligence and wit is on a completely different level than all of us.. He does have those great one-liners every now and again.

I did not make it to the game this weekend, but I have been down there many times to games in both Birmingham and Tuscaloosa dating back to 80s. My feelings were always that the Alabama - Tennessee game was a rivalry, but a mutual respect exists between the fans of both schools. There was always some jawing, but I never saw a lot of violence. As a matter of fact, I have always told people that Alabama was a great place to go see a game.

I was disappointed to arrive at work this morning and see a big bruise on the forehead of a lady I work with. Apparently, after the game, Alabama students were throwing liquor bottles into the Tennessse section.

I have seen this many times at LSU and Florida. I always thought Bama fans were a little better behaved. Sorry to hear that I was wrong.

I've never actually done this...but I can state unequivocally with a great deal of certainty that this isn't true.

I'm a Senior at Bama.

First, the student section isn't anywhere close to any Tennessee sections...opposite end of the field in fact.

The Tennessee sections are in the North Endzone Upperdeck and North Endzone lower bowl.
The student section is in the South Endzone. And the student section is actually gated off from the rest of the stadium during the game. No one can get in or out.

Second, many of the students left after the 3rd quarter after the game got out of hand.

Most, if not all, students leave out of the gates in the student section. None of them would have made there way all the way to the North Endzone after the game in front of the UT section just to leave the stadium. Just doesn't make sense. There weren't that many UT fans left in the lower bowl after the game.

Third, I actually made my way from the student section to the North Endzone in front of the Tennessee section about 10 minutes after the game.

There wasn't so much as Bama/UT fans jawing...nothing anything like that in fact.

I was right in front of the Tennessee band after the game to watch Coach Saban's press conference they show on the video boards.

I saw many Bama fans and members of the Million Dollar Band walk up to UT's drum major and shake his hand and compliment them...so ask your band's drum major how he was treated by Bama fans. I was literally a few steps away from your drum major...so I was definitely there.

So, I'm not going to come right out and say you're a liar b/c that's not nice.

I will say you're not being truthful.

The man is clearly a genius. Posting on this board just enables him to marvel at his sheer brilliance.

so, you are saying... that when I go buy a ticket. I automatically (since I am a VOL fan) get certain places to sit. I cant buy a ticket to sit near your student section or anywhere else in your stadium? only in the upper deck part?....our drum major was not hit in the head, so ask the women who was hit how she feels.

Obviously a future product of an Alabama education. Completely clueless.

I guess folks don't get it. Allow me to clarify:

It's not funny when someone gets hit in the face by a bottle. It's funny how many more threads there are about thrown bottles, fights, profanity, and other assorted douchebaggery when your team just got the crap beaten out of them.

When someone gets hit the head by a bottle, there's going to be a thread somewhere, win or lose.

I dont think you get it. Its not funny when a fan, Tennessee or otherwise, gets blasted in the face with a bottle. Win or lose, it happens and is pathetic.

I understood it clearly. It was classless. Now go back to entertaining your Bama faithful with crayons and markers.
