I think Berry will return......

I want EB to do what EB thinks is best for EB to do. I'm happy we have had a guy of that caliber on campus. I expect him to be a strong advocate for the University for many years to come and I wish him every success.

I would rather him go to the NFL, make millions and millions of dollars, rep UT well and take care of his family. That's the best outcome for EB

If Manning's family had been in trouble financially he would have left early too

Couldn't agree more ... all the best to EB !!!

Kim Teeblow came back, so Berry can possibly come back too. The only hurt he will get is when he is laying out someone going over the middle at Neyland, Berry might get a scratch and the other guy will get a concussion.

he probably is and I hope he goes to the Titans, but if he announced that he was staying VolNation would be so jacked up for next year it would be rediculous! !

I can easily see Berry returning his senior year. When you do something like that it immortalizes you in the eyes of the Vol fans forever, like Peyton Manning. I think that EB loves playing here so much that he wants to come back, he is a rock star here. Fans chant his name and he is a safety. Where else does that happen? I dont hear USC fans chanting Taylor...Mays. Speaking of, Mays came back for his senior season. I only see EB getting better learning under Monte Kiffin and I am praying that he returns.

Keep on praying, VN will need divine intervention for EB to return...

The Titans need a QB much more than they need Berry.

The Bammer is actually right on this one (even a blind squirrel stumbles upon an acorn once in a while, I suppose).

However, if Berry becomes a top 3 pick or even the #1 overall pick in this year's draft, it will be huge for our future recruiting. That would pay even more dividends than Berry returning next year, IMO.

I think with the impending cap on rookie salaries looming, EB would be best suited to make the move. All you have to do is point to Sam Bradford and look at what could possibly go wrong with coming back for another season. Bradford has gone from being a top 5 pick last season and staying to being hurt for the season and watching millions of dollars go by the wayside.

Keep dreaming.

Berry is going into the draft and will be drafted in the top 5.

Well I guess I'm too lazy to look for the post, but I think someone posted something on here a few days ago about how they thought he may not leave because his dad apparently has a job now, and recently took out a insurance policy on him.

to taken among the top 20 picks, much less the top 10, would be a fool to return to school. I think Manning returned mostly because he wanted to win the Heisman and of course felt he could win--he's a traditionalist, and I'm sure that was a big factor with him; maybe the biggest. :hi:

Maybe EB feels he would have a chance to win the heisman next year with TT gone.:birgits_giggle::dunno:

That insurance policy was to protect him against a career ending injury THIS year. I hate to be debbie downer, but there is NOWAY EB comes back for his SR year. If a rookie wage scale goes into effect in 2011, he could stand to lose MILLIONS by not coming out for the '10 draft.

I think if Berry comes back it would be basically because of Monte Kiffin. Having another year to be coached under Kiffin at UT, which will most likely be the last place Kiffin coaches at before he retires, might be worth it enough to Berry that he comes back for his senior year.

I didn't read all the posts- so sorry if this is a repeat.
The smart move is to go pro:

I believe there is no salary cap next year.

Also, I heard they will change what rookies can make after next year.

I would love to see him come back, and for me- I could be happy with 10 mil or 50 mil. If his folks are secure, and he has the insurance- it is possible. But for the reasons above, it would be smarter to go pro.

I would love to see him come back, but with Bradford seriously hurting his pro status after returning, i doubt you will see him do it.
