hopefully he sticks around because nothing beats a solid education. I would rather him have something to fall back on than have nothing to fall back on.. The nation will erupt when Berry announces.. I COMING BACK!!

So if during your Jr year in college someone had offered you a job making $20mil you would have turned them down to get your degree? Please tell me I missed the sarcasm badly

I can easily see Berry returning his senior year. When you do something like that it immortalizes you in the eyes of the Vol fans forever, like Peyton Manning. I think that EB loves playing here so much that he wants to come back, he is a rock star here. Fans chant his name and he is a safety. Where else does that happen? I dont hear USC fans chanting Taylor...Mays. Speaking of, Mays came back for his senior season. I only see EB getting better learning under Monte Kiffin and I am praying that he returns.

Come on, dude.... I hope this was a tongue-in-cheek comment. I'm pretty sure he will be forgiven by the overwhelming majority of fans if he decides to go pro.

The ONLY way he should even consider returning is if he gets a $50 Million insurance policy from Lloyds of London. And I'm pretty sure that the premiums for that policy would be significant.

as long as the majority of it is guaranteed...

Is it your belief that if he were to sign a contract with, say, "only" $10 million guaranteed, he would be better suited to go ahead and finish his degree? Not many people are going to make anywhere near $10 million in their lifetime with just a bachelors degree.

I would rather him go to the NFL, make millions and millions of dollars, rep UT well and take care of his family. That's the best outcome for EB

If Manning's family had been in trouble financially he would have left early too
I agree

Nope. He'll be back.

What makes you think this? I would say there is about a 10% chance EB comes back. I think Monte and Lane will encourage EB to go pro as well. And both have basically acted like it's a given that EB is gone next year.

Like I said before, I just want to see him suit up one more year.. thats all. Who on this board would honestly be mad if he came back?

EBerry, I <3 U, but go pro!!! We have good backups that need the PT and you can do so much for UT pub and recruiting by dominating the NFL after being the #1 overall pick. Get that money! Anyone thinking he should stay, just look at Bradford. Had he played like last year, he'd be #1 on the draft board, but now he won't have played for a year when he starts his pro career with much less money. The cupboard is stocked and we'll have a 1st year QB next year. Don't be crazy.

If Berry is not the #1 pick someone missed a golden opportunity, Players like him come along only once in a lifetime!

The only way I could see EB coming back next year is if he thought this team had a legitimate shot at winning the SEC, and his parents had solid employment. You know that with the type of competitor he is that he'd love to win an SEC Championship before he leaves. Short of that happening, he's going to the NFL for the mega-bucks to take care of his family.

As much as it would be great to see him back for one more, he should go. Good luck and God speed, EB.

Dont get me wrong, I will in no way be mad if he doesnt come back. I am an EB fan for life. I just think that he will. Some people enjoy the college life and the college game. I think he is one of those guys, he polishes the helmets with the trainers. He is a leader on this team and he loves the University of Tennessee. It is obvious that he is the most beloved player since Manning and I think that he can get the insurance policy on him self and he will be wearing the T next year. Just my opinion. And he is a beast, Bradford is as skinny as Tyler Bray is now. Berry is not that fragile, he is a human missle made of steel. EB is what Rod Wilks dreams of being.....yes I said it.
