Virtually everyone in the East was in rebuilding mode this year except us and we choked on applesauce. Next year the situation is flipped so I fail to see where some of you are getting 9 - 10 wins.

Strength Coach appears to be the most important hire at this point, IMO. And they have to survive the GT game without key injuries on the defense.

I was against us playing GT because of that cut blocking. That being said, playing them every season hasn't piled up the bodies for other ACC teams. Don't remember FSU or Clemson being short handed in their playoff forays.

Paul Johnson is a very good coach. UT has huge unknowns on D against an O that is very difficult to defend. There's a really good chance that UT loses this one.

9: Indiana State

Win.

With a significant talent advantage, UT needed a heroic come back this year. UF will be better. UT will be worse. McElwain will still outcoach Jones.

23: UMass

Should be a win

30: Georgia

UGA will have a pretty significant talent advantage on both sides of the ball. We'll see how Smart does in his 2nd year as a coach.... but even if by some stretch of the imagination Jones outcoaches him.... the talent deficit will be too great.

14: South Carolina

Roughly equal talent. Muschamp has outcoached Jones badly in each of their meetings.

21: at Alabama

Could be even uglier than this year.

28: at Kentucky

UT may have a slight talent advantage. Toss up.

4: Southern Miss

Probable wins but UT could be playing walk ons everywhere by this point.

Could be worse than the Bama loss.

Who knows... but they CAN improve to 3-2 vs UT under Jones.

I think 5-7 is more likely than 8-4... with a healthy dose of excuses of course.

We've been hearing about how Kentucky is a toss up for 3 years now. It hasn't been close yet.

5-6 wins until some major questions are known: The recovery of K Mack and Tuttle, will they be at 100% day one or need more time? The defense in general, DE play, LB & DB huge questions. That group must make huge gains from this season. QB's - who? WR with Malone leaving who fills his shoes?
